About us

I’m hosting an English-language ikebana workshop where we’ll explore the art of Japanese flower arranging together. Whether you’ve practiced floral design or are simply curious to begin, this gathering welcomes anyone drawn to the beauty, rhythm, and contemplative sensibility of ikebana. It’s a chance to meet others who share a love for flowers, refine your sensitivity to form and balance, and create arrangements that transform the atmosphere of a space. Together, we’ll think about flowers spatially — how line, placement, and emptiness shape the presence of an arrangement.

This lively intro to ikebana will walk you through basic principles and hands-on techniques so you leave with your own stylish arrangement — all materials provided, including suiban and kenzan (the little pin frog that holds your stems).
Expect relaxed tunes, good vibes, and plenty of room to experiment. No experience needed, just bring your curiosity and an open mind.
