Starinyou is to hold an English public speaking competition where 7 contestants give a 2-min prepared speech each, and then answer questions raised by three judges. The audience can also participate in the game by voting for their favorite speakers.

▎Contestants
Chelsi is a Shanghai girl passionate about life. She has been working as an operation analyst for almost 2 years. Her New Year's resolution in 2014 was to celebrate her parents' 26th wedding anniversary in Europe. In last September, she made her dream come true by bringing her parents to 10 European countries. This trip was totally funded by her own saving of a year. Chelsi discovered her passion for public speaking in college. Ever since, she started to find any chance to practice as a speaker.
Johny, who was born in Shanghai, is a gym guy but not simple-minded, humorous but not a comedian. He is working at a Norwegian company which ran pirate fleet 150 years ago. He treasures the opportunity to share his ideas about life with everyone.
Penelope comes from Sichuan province. She's working as an administrative assistant right in SoiltTap China Trading Inc. She regards public speaking as an efficient way of further enhancing her English speaking capability. "1900" is the name of a man who existed for nobody. So her topic is about the importance of finding and living one's true self.
Zera has been working in a Hong Kong chemical company for 2 years. Going out from a small village of Anhui province and living in Shanghai is not easy for her, so she cherishes her current job and life very much. She's going to talk about the challenges faced by many young women living in big cities, and how she thinks they should overcome these difficultities for further development.
Kitty works as an assistant in a foreign company. She likes communication and sometimes enjoys communicating to herself alone at home with a book held in hand and at that moment she feels great for a day like that. She'd like to accompany her friend Penelope to go through this 2-minute challenge. Her topic is Education in China.
Aside from a three-month study abroad experience in Brisbane, Australia, Tamia has lived in Shanghai since birth. She has graduated last June with a bachelor's degree in English, and worked in the media and entertainment industry. Recently she just left her job at a Fortune 500 company, trying to figure out what to do next. She does lots of things in her spare time, besides public speaking, she enjoys photography, jazz dance, improv comedy, and going to museums and galleries. She is also a freelance journalist of English. She is passionate about exploring new things, communicating with people and experiencing the world.
Mary was born in a beautiful city, Wuxi. She is committed to human resource management and practice. Now she's working at Netease Corporation as a HRM. Employers always want to find the best possible people who can fit within their cultures and contribute within their organizations. So her topic is how to show the employer why you're an ideal candidate for the job and land it quickly.
▎Lecturer
Ms. Li has over 20 years of field experience, with more than 10 years at top management level. Her academic background in language communication and work expertise in sales and marketing have made her an outstanding communicator and motivator. Her strategic approach has successfully helped many professionals develop authentic and natural influencing styles to win trust of others.
Other than a seasoned trainer and consultant, Ms. Li has functioned as Country Manager for multinational companies in Taiwan. Her solid experience in general management and business operation adds insights and practicability to workplace implementation. Her inspiring training and communication style is the best representation of leader's effective interpersonal and influencing skills.
