Hey there!
Whether you're an expat missing some English conversation, a local who enjoys speaking English, or just someone who enjoys meeting new people and chatting in English — you've found your spot.
My name's Jason, 37 years old, from the UK. I've recently moved to rural South Black Forest, in Germany, with my German wife, Diana, 31 and our newborn son, because why not!
While I'm busy learning German, I'm also keen to connect with other English speakers in the beautiful Lörrach / Weil am Rhein area.
The idea is simple: build a group of like-minded people and do fun stuff together — hiking, BBQs, game nights, local events, exploring the Schwarzwald, you name it. Everything will be super casual, with the ultimate aim of meeting new people regularly and having a good time.
Everyone's welcome — expats, locals, internationals, whoever fancies it. The one thing we have in common? English will be our main language. That said, this could easily become a great way to improve our German too or meet people from your own home country!
If enough people are excited to join this group we can get planning some events very soon!
