Here's an opportunity to test your English speaking skill, and improve your reading and listening skills.
For the next few weeks, please join us to discuss the news for one hour
with a native speaker and fellow English learners. All events will be on Zoom.
The news articles will change from week to week.
IMPORTANT:
Attendees will be REQUIRED to read 1-2 news articles BEFORE the event, and discuss them with the group. The articles will be sent to each attendee after they register for the class.
This event is open to all intermediate to advanced English learners. However, you will be expected to discuss your opinions with the group.
Don't be afraid! Here's your chance to practice a real-life conversation with other adults about interesting topics.

This group is designed primarily for intermediate-to-advanced English learners as a way to improve conversation skills.
Please be punctual. Adults only, please. Friends are welcome. This event lasts approximately 60-80 minutes.

You need to use Zoom software to participate. It's free. You can use Zoom on your computer, iPad or smartphone.

ABOUT THE HOST
Tom is a native New Yorker: He grew up in Brooklyn. He has lived and traveled in Europe and Asia, and understands what it is like to learn a new language.
Tom earned a degree in English from Pace University. For more than 20 years, he has worked as a journalist and editor for national magazines and websites.
Tom taught English speaking, writing, and pronunciation at NYC's well-respected International Center for over six years. He now owns a company that provides personalized ESL classes for adult professionals and college students.
