This is a spring-limited special walk to explore one of Tokyo’s hidden cherry blossom spots.

Along the Arakawa River, Komatsugawa Senbonzakura stretches with about 1,000 cherry trees, creating a beautiful tunnel of sakura blossoms. It is a spectacular spot where you can enjoy the arrival of spring with all your senses.

On the day of the event, we will first gather at the cafe and deepen our connections while enjoying English conversation and international exchange in a relaxed atmosphere.

After that, we will take the Toei Shinjuku Line from Ogawamachi Station to Higashi-Ojima Station.

From the station, we will pass through Arakawa Lock Gate and walk around Ojima Komatsugawa Park. With its wide lawns and riverside scenery, it is a perfect place to relax and take photos.

Next, we will walk along the Arakawa riverbank and Komatsugawa Senbonzakura. While strolling along the approximately 2 km long cherry blossom avenue, you can fully enjoy the beautiful tunnel of spring blossoms. There are benches and riverside areas where we can take short breaks along the way.

Finally, we will pass through a nostalgic downtown shopping street and head toward Hirai Station.

📍 Arakawa Lock Gate
A massive lock gate that adjusts the water level between the Arakawa River and the Old Nakagawa River. When boats pass through, you can watch the water level rise and fall like a “water elevator.” From the top, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Arakawa River and even see Tokyo Skytree, making it a hidden scenic spot in Tokyo. 🌊✨

A beautiful cherry blossom avenue with about 1,000 sakura trees along the Arakawa River. In spring, it forms a stunning tunnel of cherry blossoms, making it one of Tokyo’s hidden gems.

A friendly local shopping street stretching about 2 km from Hirai Station, lined with traditional shops and restaurants. It is lively with local people and a great place to enjoy a walk while experiencing the nostalgic atmosphere of Tokyo’s downtown area.

- This event is not a guided tour.
- Last order for drinks is 30 minutes before departure.
- If you do not order a drink, an 800 JPY participation fee will be charged.
- Joining the event after departure is not possible.
- Registration is not available after arriving at the café on the day of the event.
- This meetup will conclude at the destination.
- If there are fewer than three participants on the day or in case of severe weather, the event will be canceled. However, you are still welcome to visit the café and enjoy our various meetups.
- If you wish to leave the group early, please inform the organizer.

東京の隠れた桜の名所を歩く、春限定のスペシャルウォークです。

荒川沿いに約1,000本の桜が続く小松川千本桜は、まるで桜のトンネル。春の訪れを五感で楽しめる絶景スポットです。

当日はまずカフェにて、英会話や国際交流を楽しみながら、リラックスした雰囲気で交流を深めます。

その後、都営新宿線で小川町駅から東大島駅へ移動します。

駅からは荒川ロックゲートを通り、大島小松川公園を散策。広い芝生と川沿いの景色が広がる休憩スポットで、写真タイムにも最適です。

さらに荒川土手・小松川千本桜を歩きます。約2km続く桜並木を散策しながら、春の桜のトンネルを堪能。途中のベンチや河川敷で休憩もできます。

最後は下町の商店街を抜けて平井駅へ向かいます。
