We will walk through Asakusa, one of Tokyo’s most historic areas, where you can truly experience the essence of traditional Japan. The culture of the Edo period still lives on here, along with a charming downtown atmosphere that attracts visitors from all over the world.

Centered around iconic landmarks like Kaminarimon Gate and Senso-ji Temple—the oldest temple in Tokyo—the area is filled with lively streets such as Nakamise Street and local shopping arcades, where you can enjoy street food, souvenirs, and a vibrant atmosphere.

With its unique blend of tradition and energy, Asakusa is a place where simply walking around allows you to experience Japanese culture, making it a must-visit destination for both first-time visitors and repeat travelers.

We begin with a casual meetup at a café.
Enjoy English conversation and international meetup in a relaxed atmosphere. There will be a short self-introduction session before departure, so even first-time participants can quickly feel comfortable and connect with others ✨

🚶‍♂️ Explore Asakusa Together
After the café meetup, we head to Asakusa and begin our walk!
Starting from Kaminarimon Gate, we’ll stroll through Nakamise Street toward Senso-ji Temple. Along the way, you can enjoy traditional sweets, street food, and souvenir shops while soaking in the lively, authentic atmosphere.

After visiting Senso-ji, we’ll go beyond the main tourist spots and explore deeper into the neighborhood. By stepping off the main streets, you’ll discover the nostalgic charm of old Tokyo, with local shops and hidden alleys that reflect everyday life in the area.

We’ll then continue through Shin-Nakamise Shopping Street and surrounding areas, experiencing a more “local” side of Asakusa that isn’t always found in guidebooks. As we walk through retro streets and unique shops, conversations naturally flow, making it easy to connect with other participants.

One of the best parts of this walk is the freedom to enjoy it at your own pace—taking photos, trying snacks, or stopping by interesting places along the way. Every step offers something new to discover.

The nearest station is Tokyo Metro Asakusa Station.

🌙 Notes
- This event is not a guided tour.
- Last order for drinks is 30 minutes before departure.
- If you do not order a drink, an additional 500 JPY will be charged on top of the participation fee.
- Joining the event after departure is not possible.
- Registration is not available after arriving at the café on the day of the event.
- This meetup will conclude at the destination.
- If there are fewer than three participants on the day or in case of severe weather, the event will be canceled. However, you are still welcome to visit the café and enjoy our various meetups.
- If you wish to leave the group early, please inform the organizer.

カフェから浅草へ移動し、いよいよ観光スタート！
まずは雷門から仲見世通りを抜けて、浅草寺を目指します。にぎやかな参道では、和菓子やストリートフード、お土産店などを楽しみながら、日本らしい雰囲気を満喫できます。

浅草寺で参拝した後は、さらに街の奥へ。観光スポットだけでなく、少し路地に入ることで、昔ながらの下町の風景やローカルなお店が広がります。

その後は、新仲見世商店街や周辺エリアを散策しながら、ガイドブックにはあまり載っていない“ディープな浅草”を体験。レトロな街並みや個性的なお店を巡りながら、参加者同士の交流も自然と深まっていきます。

歩くだけでも発見があり、写真を撮ったり、気になるお店に立ち寄ったりと、それぞれのペースで楽しめるのもこの街歩きの魅力です。
