Join us for a special walking event featuring the Shitamachi Tanabata Festival, one of Tokyo's most colorful summer festivals, and Kappabashi Dougu Street, Japan's largest kitchenware shopping district.

We'll start at a café, where you can relax, enjoy English conversation, and meet people from around the world in a friendly atmosphere. Whether you're joining for the first time or coming alone, it's easy to connect with others and make new friends.

After our meetups, we'll head to the Shitamachi Tanabata Festival.
The streets between Ueno and Kappabashi are beautifully decorated with colorful Tanabata ornaments and giant streamers, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. Enjoy strolling through the festival, taking photos, and experiencing the charm of Tokyo's traditional downtown area.

After exploring the festival, we'll continue to Kappabashi Dougu Street.
Known as Japan's largest kitchenware and restaurant supply district, Kappabashi is filled with unique shops selling professional-grade knives, tableware, kitchen tools, and the famous Japanese food replicas that have become popular with visitors from around the world.

It's a fascinating place to explore while discovering the rich culture behind Japanese cuisine and craftsmanship.

Relax at a café while enjoying English conversation and an international meetup in a friendly atmosphere.
There will also be a short self-introduction session before departure, so even first-time participants can easily connect with others.

The Shitamachi Tanabata Festival is one of Tokyo's most popular summer festivals, held every July. Kappabashi Hondori Street, connecting Ueno and Kappabashi, is beautifully decorated with colorful Tanabata ornaments and giant streamers.

Visitors can enjoy stunning festival decorations, local food stalls, live performances, and community events throughout the area. The vibrant decorations, festive atmosphere, and traditional downtown charm make it a great place for sightseeing and photography.

Kappabashi Dougu Street is Japan's largest kitchenware shopping district, located between Asakusa and Ueno. From professional cooking tools and tableware to realistic food replicas, it is a popular destination for discovering Japanese food culture.

After arriving at Kappabashi Dougu Street, the event will become free time. Feel free to browse the stalls, hunt for hidden treasures, and explore the many unique shops at your own pace. You are welcome to leave whenever it is convenient for you. Enjoy the market for as long as you like and make the most of your visit! 🏺✨

- This event is not a guided tour.
- Last order for drinks is 30 minutes before departure.
- If you do not order a drink, an additional 500 JPY will be charged on top of the participation fee.
- Joining the event after departure is not possible.
- Registration is not available after arriving at the café on the day of the event.
- This meetup will conclude at the destination.
- If there are fewer than three participants on the day or in case of severe weather, the event will be canceled. However, you are still welcome to visit the café and enjoy our various meetups.
- If you wish to leave the group early, please inform the organizer.

今回は、色鮮やかな七夕飾りで彩られる 下町七夕まつり と、日本最大級の調理器具専門街 かっぱ橋道具街 を巡るウォーキングイベントです。

まずはカフェでスタート！
英会話や国際交流を楽しみながら、リラックスした雰囲気の中で交流しましょう。自然と会話が生まれるので、初参加やお一人参加の方でも安心してご参加いただけます。

交流を楽しんだ後は、下町七夕まつりへ向かいます。
上野とかっぱ橋を結ぶ通りには、色鮮やかな七夕飾りや巨大な吹き流しが並び、下町ならではの温かい雰囲気に包まれます。夏の風情を感じながら、写真撮影やお祭り散策を楽しみましょう。

その後は、かっぱ橋道具街 を散策します。
かっぱ橋道具街は、日本最大級の調理器具・食器の専門街として知られ、プロ仕様の包丁や食器、キッチン用品、そして外国人にも人気の食品サンプルなど、ユニークなお店が数多く並んでいます。
日本の食文化を感じながら、お買い物や街歩きを楽しめるのも、このエリアならではの魅力です。
