Asakusa is a popular area where the traditions of the Edo period and the charm of old downtown Tokyo remain. It is one of the best places to experience authentic Japanese culture and attracts visitors from all over the world.

First, we'll meet at the café!
Enjoy English conversation and an international meetup in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It's a welcoming space where you can naturally connect with others, even if it's your first time joining or you're coming on your own. 😊

After that, we'll head to Asakusa, one of Tokyo's most iconic districts. Our walk begins at the famous Kaminarimon Gate before visiting Sensō-ji, Tokyo's oldest temple. As we explore the area, you'll discover Japan's rich history, traditional culture, and the unique atmosphere that makes Asakusa so special.

Next, we'll leave the busy main streets behind and venture into the Oku-Asakusa neighborhood. Strolling through its quiet backstreets, you'll experience the charm of old downtown Tokyo, where traditional scenery and local daily life still remain. It's a great opportunity to discover a side of Tokyo that most guidebooks don't show.

We'll also visit the famous Hozuki Market, a special event held every July at Sensō-ji. The temple grounds are lined with colorful stalls selling vibrant Japanese lantern plants (hozuki), attracting thousands of visitors. It is believed that worshipping at the temple on this special day brings the same blessings as 46,000 days of worship, making it a wonderful chance to experience both Japanese traditions and the beauty of summer.

- Last order for drinks is 30 minutes before departure.
- If you do not order a drink, an additional 500 JPY will be charged on top of the participation fee.
- Joining the event after departure is not possible.
- Registration is not available after arriving at the café on the day of the event.
- This meetup will conclude at the destination.
- If there are fewer than three participants on the day or in case of severe weather, the event will be canceled. However, you are still welcome to visit the café and enjoy our various meetups.
- If you wish to leave the group early, please inform the organizer.

まずはカフェに集合！
英会話や国際交流を楽しみながら、リラックスした雰囲気で自然に交流できます。初参加・お一人参加でもすぐに打ち解けられる、安心の空間です😊

その後、浅草へ移動します。まずは浅草のシンボルである雷門からスタートし、東京最古の寺院・浅草寺を参拝します。日本の伝統や歴史に触れながら、浅草ならではの情緒あふれる街並みを楽しみましょう。

続いて、観光客でにぎわう仲見世通りを抜け、メインストリートを離れて奥浅草エリアへ。昔ながらの下町の風景や地元の人々の暮らしが息づく路地を散策しながら、ガイドブックには載っていない東京の魅力を発見します。

この日は、浅草寺で毎年7月に開催される「ほおずき市」も訪れます。境内には鮮やかな朱色のほおずきが並ぶ露店が立ち並び、多くの参拝客でにぎわう浅草の夏を代表する伝統行事です。この日に参拝すると四万六千日分のご利益があると伝えられ、夏ならではの風情と日本の伝統文化を体感できます。
