Held in Satake Shopping Street, one of Tokyo's oldest shopping arcades, Satake Odori is a one-of-a-kind summer festival where traditional Bon Odori, art, and Japanese subculture come together. Alongside classic Bon Odori dancing, you'll find live performances by local artists, creative art installations, and unique cultural experiences that transform this nostalgic shopping street into a vibrant celebration of local creativity.

Satake Odori is a unique summer festival held in Satake Shopping Street, one of Tokyo's oldest shopping arcades, where traditional Bon Odori dancing, art, and subculture come together. In addition to enjoying classic Bon Odori, you'll find live performances by local artists, creative art displays, and stalls run by independent creators, giving the festival a distinctive local atmosphere. Set against the backdrop of a nostalgic retro shopping street, it's a one-of-a-kind event where Tokyo's traditional downtown culture meets contemporary art and subculture.

From this point on, it's free time. Feel free to continue enjoying the international exchange with everyone.
The Satake Dance performance will continue until 7:00 PM.

📍 Bon Odori (5:45–7:00 PM)
The Bon Odori is about to begin!
Centered around the shopping street's original Satake Ondo, Bon Odori is a traditional Japanese folk dance performed in a circle to the rhythm of taiko drums. It is a cherished summer tradition that brings together residents and visitors, filling the downtown shopping street with music, dancing, and a festive atmosphere.

From this point on, you are free to explore and enjoy the festival at your own pace. Feel free to join the Bon Odori or simply watch and experience this unique part of Japanese summer culture.

- This event is not a guided tour.
- Last order for drinks is 30 minutes before departure.
- If you do not order a drink, an additional 500 JPY will be charged on top of the participation fee.
- Joining the event after departure is not possible.
- Registration is not available after arriving at the café on the day of the event.
- This meetup will conclude at the destination.
- If there are fewer than three participants on the day or in case of severe weather, the event will be canceled. However, you are still welcome to visit the café and enjoy our various meetups.
- If you wish to leave the group early, please inform the organizer.

東京最古の商店街の一つ・佐竹商店街で開催される「サタケオドリ」は、盆踊り・アート・サブカルチャーが融合したユニークな夏祭りです。昔ながらの盆踊りに加え、個性豊かなアーティストによるライブやパフォーマンス、アート展示などが行われ、レトロな商店街が一夜限りのカルチャースポットへと変わります。

まずはカフェに集合！
英会話や国際交流を楽しみながら、リラックスした雰囲気で自然に交流できます。初参加・お一人参加でもすぐに打ち解けられる、安心の空間です😊

交流を楽しんだ後は、みんなで佐竹商店街へ移動し、「サタケオドリ」を訪れます。

会場では、盆踊りやライブパフォーマンス、アート展示を楽しみながら、レトロな商店街ならではのローカルな雰囲気を満喫。屋台グルメを味わったり、東京の下町文化と現代のサブカルチャーが融合した独特の世界観を体験できます。
