Discover the historic district of Ryogoku, famous as the home of sumo, on this cultural walking tour. Enjoy the beautiful riverside scenery along the Sumida River, stroll through a traditional Japanese garden dating back to the Edo period, and visit sites connected with sumo, the famous artist Hokusai, and Edo culture. It's a relaxing walk where you can experience Tokyo's rich history and traditions.
We'll start at the café.
Relax with English conversation and international exchange in a friendly atmosphere. Whether you're joining for the first time or coming alone, it's easy to meet new people and make friends.
After the meetup, we'll take the JR train to Ryogoku.
Our first stop is Ryogoku Edo NOREN, a shopping and dining complex designed to recreate the atmosphere of old Edo. We'll then visit the Sumida River Terrace Gallery and the beautiful Former Yasuda Garden. Next, we'll explore the Sumo Museum to learn about Japan's national sport, before finishing at the Edo-Tokyo Museum, where you can discover the history of Tokyo from the Edo period to the present day.
