Have you ever wanted to experience one of Japan's most beautiful traditional arts?

Join us for a relaxing Shodō (Japanese Calligraphy) Workshop, where you'll learn how to use a traditional brush, ink, and Japanese paper. Even if you've never tried calligraphy before, our friendly staff will guide you step by step.

During the workshop, you can:
- ✍️ Learn the basics of Japanese calligraphy.
- 🖌️ Write your name in kanji (when possible) or in beautiful Japanese characters.
- 💮 Practice writing your favorite kanji, Japanese words, or meaningful phrases.
- 🎁 Take your finished artwork home as a unique souvenir from Japan.

Shodō is more than just writing—it is a traditional art that values balance, focus, and self-expression. Take a break from the busy city and enjoy a peaceful cultural experience.

Whether you're visiting Japan or living here, this workshop is a fun way to discover Japanese culture, meet new people, and create a memorable keepsake.

Participation Fee: *FREE* (Regardless of nationality or gender)
- Entry and exit are free, and you are welcome to attend at any time
- One drink order is required (from 500 JPY)
- Second drink and onwards: discounted price (from 300 JPY)
- Alcohol (from 500 JPY), light meal (from 100 JPY)
- A one-time “Member Passport” issuance fee of 100 JPY applies
- Payment is cash only

- This meetup group is for members only. To be a member, you have to read and understand the "Rule Book" and agree to its contents.

日本の伝統文化の一つである書道を気軽に体験してみませんか？
このワークショップでは、筆・墨・半紙を使った基本的な書道を、スタッフが丁寧にサポートします。初めての方でも安心してご参加いただけます。

体験内容

• ✍️ 書道の基本的な書き方を学びます。
  - 🖌️ ご希望に応じて、自分の名前や好きな漢字・日本語の言葉を書いてみます。
  - 💮 美しい筆文字に挑戦し、自分だけの作品を制作します。
  - 🎁 完成した作品は、そのまま記念としてお持ち帰りいただけます。

書道は、文字を書く技術だけではなく、心を落ち着かせ、日本の美意識に触れられる伝統芸術です。

旅行中の方も、日本にお住まいの方も、日本文化を体験しながら新しい仲間と交流できるイベントです。
