Join us for the Nezu Shrine Grand Festival, a historic Japanese festival held at the beautiful Nezu Shrine in Bunkyo, Tokyo! ⛩️✨

Nezu Shrine is one of Tokyo’s most historic shrines, with a history said to date back approximately 1,900 years. The shrine is famous for its beautiful vermilion gate and rows of red torii gates, creating a wonderful atmosphere where you can experience the traditional beauty of Japan.

The Grand Festival is a traditional festival with a history dating back to the Edo period. During the festival, you can see mikoshi (portable shrines), traditional performances, festival processions, and other events, offering a great opportunity to experience the lively atmosphere of a traditional Japanese matsuri. 🏮

This year, the festival will feature the Miya Mikoshi Procession, a special event held only once every four years!

The mikoshi from Nezu Shrine will leave the shrine and travel through the surrounding neighborhood, accompanied by energetic chants and a lively crowd. It is one of the most important events of the Grand Festival and a spectacular way to experience Japanese festival culture up close.

Relax in a cozy café atmosphere while enjoying English conversation and international exchange. Before departure, there will be a chance for participants to introduce themselves, so even first-time attendees can quickly feel comfortable!

⛩️ Nezu Shrine Grand Festival (3:15 PM)
Nezu Shrine is a historic shrine in Tokyo with a history of approximately 1,900 years. It is known for its beautiful vermilion gate and rows of red torii gates, offering visitors a chance to experience the traditional atmosphere of a Japanese shrine.
The Grand Festival is a traditional festival held every year and has a history dating back to the Edo period. The festival features mikoshi processions, traditional performances, and various other events, allowing you to experience the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese festival.

⛩️ Shinko Festival (Miya Mikoshi Procession)
This year’s Grand Festival will feature the Miya Mikoshi Procession, held once every four years!
The mikoshi from Nezu Shrine will leave the shrine and travel through the surrounding neighborhood, making this one of the most important events of the Grand Festival.
Experience this spectacular Japanese traditional event up close as the mikoshi makes its way through the streets, accompanied by energetic chants and a lively atmosphere.

* The Miya Mikoshi Procession is expected to be extremely crowded, so once the procession begins, participants will be free to explore on their own.

After the event, there will be free time, so anyone who would like to stay is welcome to remain at the café.

⛩️ Important Notice
- This is not a guided tour.
- Please arrive by the Departure Time. You cannot join the event after departure.
- The last order for drinks is 30 minutes before the departure time.
- If you do not order a drink, an additional ¥500 will be charged on top of the participation fee.
- Same-day registration at the cafe is not available.
- The event will be canceled if fewer than three people are attending or in case of severe weather. In such cases, you are welcome to join one of our various events at the cafe instead.
- If you leave the event early, please let the organizer know.

東京・文京区にある「根津神社」で開催される、江戸時代から続く歴史ある伝統行事「根津神社例大祭」を一緒に楽しみませんか？⛩️✨

根津神社は、約1,900年の歴史を持つとされる由緒ある神社です。鮮やかな朱色の楼門や千本鳥居など、美しい境内も見どころの一つです。

例大祭では、神輿や祭りの行列、伝統芸能など、さまざまな催しが行われます。昔ながらの日本のお祭りを楽しみながら、日本の伝統文化を身近に体験できます！🏮

そして今回は、4年に一度の「宮神輿渡御」が行われます！✨
根津神社の御神輿が神社を出発し、氏子町内を巡行する例大祭の中でも特に重要な行事です。

- 本イベントはガイドツアーではありません。
- 『出発時刻』までにお越しください。出発後の途中参加はできません。
- ドリンクのラストオーダーは、出発時刻の30分前です。
- ドリンクをご注文されない場合は、参加費に加えて500円を頂戴いたします。
- カフェ到着後の当日申込みはできません。
- 当日の参加者が3名未満の場合や荒天の場合は、中止となります。その際は、カフェで各種交流会をお楽しみいただけますので、ぜひカフェまでお越しください。
- 途中退出される場合は、オーガナイザーにお知らせください。
