“A pellet smoker allows the owners to smoke dhal (lentils), brisket, and more. The menu is unlike any other Indian restaurant, with amped-up versions of classics that are flavorful without gimmicks — it’s not pandering to Western tastes by adding truffles and calling it a day. The bone-in lamb shank curry is tender and impressive and there’s also a lamb burger. The brisket is so good that members of Highland Park’s Jewish community have asked the owners if they can make orders for the High Holidays. This is worth the drive for city dwellers.” Eater
