October - Enneagram and Improv (part II)

Details

Dear Enneagram group -

We will continue our series on using improvisational theater exercises as a mirror for becoming more aware of our own patterns, as they manifest in the sphere of social interactions.

Last month, we introduced some simple improv exercises (intended for beginners) - with the intention of building up a repertory of familiarity with this form - so that we can eventually find some bridges to Enneagram study.

This month, we will continue with a range of simple to intermediate exercises - no experience with improv is necessary (though those with experience are especially welcome). The plan will be to warm up with simple exercises and see how far we can get in a ninety-minute session (6:30-8). For those who can stay until 9pm, we will also plan to have a one-hour basic discussion about the Enneagram and its uses - probably at a nearby cafe.

Please join us!

Regards,

Nicholas (Organizer)

Note on Venue: While interesting and not entirely unpleasant, our experiment with the free space at the (former) Philip Morris building showed the difficulty of doing an activity like improv in public. This month, we will meet from 6:30-8 in a private (paid) studio in the theater district.
