EUXMELB - November Meetup

Welcome to our final Enterprise UX Melbourne for 2023. Excited to announce that Adam Faulkner, Experience Design Director at blueegg will be talking to us about why "Being Authentic Matters."

We as humans want to get along, to co-exist in communities, to form meaningful relationships. But, what happens when this instinct to reflect others, specifically product owners, project sponsors and stakeholders starts to inform our research, process, approach and artefacts?

We can lose our way as designers and we loose the value we bring to design by not speaking up, by not being individual and by not being authentic. This talk is part personal experience and part observation of many junior and mid designers where your desire to reflect others can lead to a dilution of the value we bring.

Adam's wants you to revisit your behaviours, to critically analyse yourselves and to have the confidence to know that being authentic matters!
