Gather at 8:37 PM - Moonrise at 9:09 PM
This year, we're having a Moonrise Perception gathering in July AND August*. It's the height of summer, the air is warm and dry. Perfect time to enjoy the splendor of moonrise over Lake Washington, and assemble together at 8:37 pm with other Lunatics. Moonrise is scheduled for 9:09 pm. July is the BUCK MOON!
What to bring: Yourself! Friends! and a blanket, deserts to share, your own bowl and spoons, moonglasses, soft beverages, gifts, crystals....AND an Open Heart 💖 and ✨Wondrous mind✨ Be open to introduce yourself, meet others, open a discussion, or simply sit and perceive.
Where to meet:
Magnason Park, Seattle. Up the kite hill to the NorthWest of Magnuson Park Swim Beach. Lots of Parking in the big lot at the end of Lake Shore Dr. NE. We may have a color-changing LED lights on the ground to mark our group.

NOTE: if the weather that night is cloudy, windy, raining, damp, wet - as it can happen here - there may or may not be anybody there. One year it was drizzling in central Seattle, but we drove out anyway, and behold, it was calm at the park, and the clouds parted. The moonrise is a bit later than the published time, as it has to clear the mountains and horizon mist. The park closes at 11:30, but plan on leaving the park between 10:00 and 10:30. For those who RSVP "going" i'll message you my phone number - you can text and ask (Use MOONRISE as the first word in a text to not be spam) status updates, conditions, and location guidance. We've held this event for some years now.
*The AUGUST 2026 Moonrise is going to be SPECTACULAR! The Sun sets, and the Moon rises... eclipsed! 96% covered in Earth's shadow. We'll be posting that event early August
Cold-hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colours from our sight
Red is grey is yellow white
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion
