Alyson Zildjian: Harvesting Hope

Meet Chef Alyson Zildjian, whose professional journey as a chef, while rooted in sustainability, is powered by a personal passion.

Alyson Zildjian has worked and created in the food industry for over 25 years. She is a Johnson and Wales University graduate and studied classical-style cooking at the Hotel Institute for Management in Montreux, Switzerland. Alyson is a regular guest chef on ABC Channel 7- “Chef Judy’s Dish” in Sarasota. When appearing on Channel 7, she always promotes local farms using the ingredients that are highlighted in the recipes. Alyson is also on the Board of Slow Food Sarasota and the Edible School Garden Committee.

Her clients range from Fortune 500 companies to the rock band Aerosmith. Zildjian Catering provides catering services for all occasions, including her private clients celebrating weddings, birthdays, Bar/Bat Mitzvah’s, anniversaries, galas, and debutante balls.

Chef Alyson has extensively researched creating recipes and menus for people with special dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free and sugar-free food options. Her passion is to work with local ingredients that are available seasonally to create beautiful, delicious food while specializing in Mediterranean-style cuisine.
