TOPIC:
On the way to success with our businesses it is inevitable we will make some mistakes and possibly failures. There are some other entrepreneurs out there who have already made some of the mistakes we have or will make in the future. What better way to prevent making some mistakes and failures than hearing how some serial entrepreneurs made them and what they learned from them. Learn how these entrepreneurs turned these mistakes and / or failures into success. We will also discuss common mistakes that startups make and what makes startups fail.

SPEAKERS & MODERATOR
IVAN BRAIKER
Ivan is a serial entrepreneur and mentor. He has been a revenue and innovation leader for high-growth companies. He has a track record of transforming start-ups into industry leaders and has built three companies from inception to IPO. His company Hipcricket became a leading mobile marketing firm with 400k+ campaigns, proprietary SAAS technology, and 29 Fortune 100 clients through my leadership.
Having led many companies from early stages to dynamic growth, Ivan knows the importance of the right IPO strategy. He believes in building companies that people want to work for and leading with focus and compassion. He is experienced with the investment banking community and capital markets. He especially enjoys building winning sales and marketing teams that drive success.
SCOTT LIPSKY
Scott is a Seattle-based serial entrepreneur and investor, responsible for launching, financing, growing and leading many startups and successful companies. His experience includes key roles at Amazon, aQuantive, Barnes & Noble and Gamestop.
Since arriving in the Pacific Northwest in 1996, Scott has been busy starting & funding companies and mentoring entrepreneurs & emerging technology companies. Scott is always working on development & funding of new technology and business concepts, focused on trying to predict "the next big thing" in making consumers' lives easier and more productive.
KARA WENRICH
Kara is a serial entrepreneur. She ran a boutique public relations, management and booking company for musicians. She worked with both local and national touring acts. During her time working with musicians she also arranged benefit concerts.
Discovering that she really loved giving back to the community, Kara decided to take the skills she learned in running her own business and putting on fundraising concerts to transition to the nonprofit world. Kara went on to work with a few local nonprofits and was soon recruited to be a partner and Chief Business Development Officer for Unity Fund Raising. Kara then worked at a local nonprofit before deciding she really wanted to transition back to consulting. In March 2018, Kara moved from Los Angeles to Seattle where she opened KBW Nonprofit Consulting & Events.
NAT BURGESS
Nat has over 20 years helping shareholders in technology companies achieve their goals through M&A, restructuring, funding, and strategic planning. His career took him to Wall Street and Tokyo with Morgan Stanley, Los Angeles with the SEC and Activision, and then back to Seattle to start TechStrat. He has managed over 100 mid-market technology transactions in 13 countries, is a member of the Washington State Bar, and is a frequent guest on CNBC and other programs on the topic of tech M&A. He is also involved in startups as an angel and adviser
