On Wednesday, July 9th, join us for a family-friendly protest at the U.S. Capitol — a “Play-in for Climate Action” —featuring activities for children, a press conference and a march to nearby Senate offices to deliver a message from families across America: it’s time to get serious on climate change. Organizers are urging members of Congress to support, and not stand in the way of, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan announced in June. It proposes the first-ever limits on carbon pollution from existing power plants, the biggest source of climate-changing pollution in the U.S.
