Let's hike to Horsetooth Falls followed by dinner at the Horsetooth Tavern!

I hope everyone is enjoying spring as summer is on the horizon! This is the time of year that we get some spectacular wildflowers in some of our local parks. We also get a ton of flow in our creeks and streams one of which cascades over a rock face creating a falls.
Horsetooth Falls is the only falls in Horsetooth Mountain Open Space and is a cascading waterfall that descends off a sheer rock face. We did this a couple of months ago and it was dry but i'm thinking by mid-June the falls should be at peak and we hopefully should have some good flow from atop. Either way it's a great hike with some great views of Horsetooth Reservoir above and the surrounding mountains!

Please expect to go at a moderate pace along the 4 mile loop route gaining nearly 700 feet in elevation gain via the Horse tooth Rock, Horse tooth Falls, Spring Creek, Soderberg & Southridge Trails.
