Hey guys,
Let's get out and explore one of Northern Colorado's geological wonders! The Devils Backbone is a large line of sedimentary rocks which were uplifted millions of years ago to form the formation we see today. Along that formation is a keyhole which has been formed by two of those large rocks. It really is an amazing site! Along with the formations we will probably see the beginnings of some wildflowers along the trail in addition to red tail hawks and many other types of wildlife.
Please expect to go at a moderate pace along the 5.0 mile round trip hike covering 550 feet in elevation gain.
