Crosier Mountain Point-to-Point Hike
Details
The Crosier Mountain Trail is one of the best spring hikes around northern Colorado with a diverse mix of forest, aspen stands, open meadows, flatter sections and more strenuous uphill sections. The views from the summit of Estes Park and the mountains to the west are stellar. This will be a point-to-point hike starting at the Garden Gate trailhead near Drake and ending at the Glen Haven trailhead, so we'll need to take care of some shuttle logistics before we hit the trail.
This is a challenging hike, with total elevation gain of over 3100 feet and a distance of approximately 9 miles (5.2 from Garden Gate to summit, 3.8 from summit to Glen Haven). Note: I could find no reports of lion activity since the New Years incident, and lion activity would be most unusual with a large group of people.
