Join us for an epic trip to Italy’s stunning Amalfi Coast over the early May bank holiday, starting with a night in lively Naples!

Our adventure begins in Naples, the vibrant gateway to southern Italy. We’ll spend one night in a centrally located 3-star hotel, giving us time to wander the city’s historic streets, admire the impressive Naples Cathedral, and enjoy a classic Neapolitan pizza—fresh from the source. (depending on your arrival time).

The next day, we’ll head south via private transfer to the Amalfi Coast, where we’ll settle into a beautiful 3-star guesthouse reserved just for our group. Tucked away in the quiet village of Bomerano, this peaceful hillside retreat offers sweeping coastal views and direct access to some of the region’s most spectacular trails.

From here, we’ll explore some fantastic hikes, including the legendary Path of the Gods (Il Sentiero degli Dei)—a dramatic cliffside route with dizzying sea views—along with the scenic Monte Tre Calli trail and the lush Valle delle Ferriere, a hidden gem of waterfalls and ancient forests.

On one of the nights we'll enjoy a delicious three-course dinner at our accommodation featuring local Campanian flavours.

Spring is the ideal season to explore the Amalfi Coast: the weather is mild and wildflowers are in full bloom.

ACCOMMODATION:

1 night 3-star hotel in central Naples and 3 nights 3-star guesthouse in Bomerano on a twin/double share or single occupancy basis (double bed for single use).

ITINERARY:

Fri 01/05 - Arrival in Naples. Rooms ready for check in from 2PM.

Sat 02/05 - Transfer from Naples city centre to Bomerano (included). Circular hike from our guesthouse, taking us to the summit of Monte Tre Calli (1122m), offering sweeping views of the peninsula and nearby mountain villages. 9km, 500m up/down.

Sun 03/05 - Hike through the Valle delle Ferriere nature reserve, passing waterfalls and fragrant lemon groves, before arriving in the coastal town of Amalfi. Return to Bomerano by local bus (not included). 15km, 800m up/1400m down.

Mon 04/05 - Hike the iconic Path of the Gods trail as it descends to the picturesque village of Positano. Return to Bomerano by local ferry + bus (not included). 10km, 350m up/780m down, potential option to shorten.

Tue 05/05 - Trip finish, check out from the hotel by 10AM, private transfer to Naples Airport (included, leaving around 11:30AM).

Please note that this itinerary may need to be altered depending on weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.

DIFFICULTY:

Hikes on this trip are moderately challenging (with one more challenging day). You need to be comfortable walking on steep, rocky, uneven terrain and a good level of hiking fitness is required.

The steep terrain of the Amalfi Coast means we’ll encounter significant downhill sections, including the 1,700-step descent into Positano on the Path of the Gods. Hiking poles are therefore strongly recommended to help manage the elevation and protect your knees.

On this trip it will be easy to take a rest day or extend your stay. There are many options for day trips to other amazing places in the nearby area.

*Maximum one small or medium sized main luggage per person allowance on our transfers, no more than 15kg - large suitcases not suitable. Any day packs to be carried on lap.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED:

• Any other meals not specified
• Tourist tax (about 2-4.5 Euro per night, to be collected locally by the accommodation on arrival)
• Local bus/ferry/taxi transport to return from our hikes
• Travel Insurance

FLIGHTS AND AIRPORT TRANSFERS:

There are multiple daily flights to Naples from the UK with options from/to multiple London/UK airports including with easyJet, British Airways, and Ryanair.

On Friday 1 May you are free to take any flight to Naples and it will be easy to make your own way to our hotel in the city centre by airport shuttle bus or taxi. Those on the same flights can travel to the hotel together.

For the return on Tuesday 5 May, we will provide a single airport transfer in time for flights leaving Naples from 3PM onwards.
