Background:
A friend once told me that Central Park was a veritable Jewish “memorial.” I had studied Central Park more than a decade, but that was among the strangest comments I had heard about the Park. What, I pondered, could be particularly Jewish about our Park, much less a memorial? It turns out, my pla was right. There is Jewish history at every turn.
