Want to reimagine the economy? Special screening and discussion of “Purpose”

Sometimes you have to see it to believe it — and believe it is possible. Join Films for the Future to watch films that grapple with the changes that are being contemplated, debated and fought for, and that ponder and imagine what lies ahead.

Join us at 20h on Wednesday, July 2, at Mau Mau in Poble Sec for our inaugural session: a screening of Purpose, a documentary about new models for people and planet. It will be one of its first-ever showings in Spain. We will discuss the film over drinks and snacks afterwards.

Here’s what the producers say about the film: "What’s the true purpose of our economies, and how can we reshape them for the better? That’s the central question in Purpose, a documentary following Katherine Trebeck and Lorenzo Fioramonti in their efforts to shift the focus away from GDP and toward what truly matters, for people and the planet." We charge €3 in advance and €5 at the door to pay for the €100 rental of the space. Any additional profit will be donated to a nonprofit to be determined, and the total be posted here. To pay in advance, message us when you register.
