Talk: Design Driven Infrastructure Automation powered by Infrahub
Abstract: Building and managing Infrastructure has always been driven by architecture and design but surprisingly these concepts aren't easy to integrate into the toolset that makes it possible to manage networks and infrastructure in general with automation. In this presentation we'll discuss how to manage a Data Center Fabric network with a Design first approach, based on Infrahub a new Infrastructure management platform.
In a second part, we'll explore Infrahub itself, and how it's taking a different approach to Infrastructure automation by bringing the best of infrastructure as code and data management together.
Talk: Leveraging Flowspec for Enhanced Network Security: RETN's Comprehensive Approach
Abstract: Unveiling the Potential of Flowspec**: Explore how Flowspec enables forwarding “firewall rules” over BGP, expanding the effectiveness of traffic management.
True Life Experience: Discover how RETN operates Flowspec across its extensive network, shaping a safer and more efficient ecosystem.
Flowspec for Robust DDoS Mitigation: Understand how Flowspec compares with traditional blackhole methods and DPI tools, fortifying your network's defence against DDoS attacks.
The Evolution of Flowspec based on our use of Juniper’s equipment: Gain insights into Flowspec**'s origins, its development journey, and the pivotal role played by Juniper in its growth.
Practical Implementations and Real-world Applications: Learn from RETN's expertise with practical examples and use cases of
Flowspec**, empowering you to harness its capabilities for your network's success.
Don't miss this opportunity to delve into Flowspec**'s potential and witness RETN's way in managing it across its extensive network infrastructure
Talk: Containerlab for network automation
Abstract: The Docker User Experience and declarative lab definition are the design pillars on which Containerlab has been built for the past couple of years. Docker UX and declarative patterns won the hearts of many developers and, therefore, may be dear to network automation engineers' hearts.
In this talk, we will explore how Containerlab can assist network automation engineers by offering an easy way to prepare the networking layer used in network automation development workflows.
Talk: VyOS - From an appliance to a platform
Abstract: 1. The Linux kernel has lots of advanced networking functionality, and there are lots of open-source networking tools — it is possible to do everything, but is it easy?
2. We know it's not easy (show examples: e.g., multiple tools writing to /etc/hosts and /etc/resolv.conf)
3. Network appliances solved the issue for the user (very brief overview of how OpenWRT, OPNSense, et al. do it)
4. From appliance to platform: making it easy for developers and MSPs: brief overview of VyOS architecture.
5. How VyOS generates operator CLI commands and GraphQL API endpoints using Python3 type annotations.
6. Image build systems: making it easy to create and maintain custom images.
Book your seat!
