👋 HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE HIDEOUT!
London’s hyper-active horror and sci-fi film club — built by fans, for fans.
We’re a buzzing community of die-hard film lovers, indie filmmakers, comic geeks, and sci-fi dreamers who adore everything from Hitchcock to Kubrick, Carpenter to Cameron.
We meet regularly for screenings, share laughs over drinks, and rave (or rant) together on our Letterboxd Page. You’ll also find us hanging out at our BFI Riverfront socials — always a great time. We stay on top of film news, and members get to vote on what we watch next via our WhatsApp or Telegram groups (unlocked after your first meetup).
We’re all about supporting independent cinema — from The Film Festival Guild to the Prince Charles Cinema, the BFI, Medicinema, and more. That means we’ll often snag special perks and early access as part of our crew. From road trips to spooky festivals, pub quizzes to Riverfront hangouts, there’s always something fun in the mix.

Hi guys 👋 We’re gathering to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of James Gunn's directorial debut. Before he became known for his work with DC and Marvel, he made a name for himself focusing in the sci-fi horror world, both writing and directing these cult gems.
This body-horror sub-genre is about an alien parasite that infects a wealthy man in a small town, turning residents into mutants and zombies. If you haven’t seen it yet—like me—come join this adventure with fellow horror fans.
We’ll meet for drinks at Victory House Wine Bar before heading to Prince Charles Cinema. Slither will be showing on Screen 2, and I of course will be right on the front row, A8—feel free to join me there! After the film we reconvene for a Letterboxd review.

👋 Hi guys! Join me for a surrealist psychological horror film written and directed by Jane Schoenbrun. This film is widely interpreted as a poignant, haunting allegory for identity and repression featuring a 90s nostalgia-driven aesthetic.
The film follows two teenagers, Owen and Maddy, who bond over a mysterious, canceled late-night TV show, causing their realities to crack.
We’ll meet for a relaxed drink at Victory House Wine Bar before heading to Prince Charles Cinema. The film’s on Screen 1 and I’ll be on seat F10 if anyone wants to join me. After the film we’ll chat about it and review it for Letterboxd.

Leicester Square, Cranbourn Street, London, GB🗿 For those seeking a night of supernatural thrills, A Night of Ancient Horror could be just the antidote… but beware what you unleash.
👋 Hey guys! This new project by Evil Dead Rise director Lee Cronin is already generating a lot of buzz. While plot details are still under wraps, it’s described as a fresh and terrifying take on the classic mummy mythos — possibly focusing on ancient evils and the horrors that follow. Oh, by the way, this film isn’t connected to the old Universal Mummy franchise starring Brendan Fraser or the more recent Tom Cruise reboot — it’s a completely standalone horror film.
So, here’s the plan for our Friday Night Mummy Meet-Up! We’ll kick off the weekend vibe with drinks before the movie — and if you’re feeling adventurous, come dressed in your best ancient explorer clothes! After the screening, we’ll reconvene for our Letterboxd Page review & chat. We’ll share exact date, time, and location details as we get closer, but for now, mark your calendars for a night of ancient chills and great company.
If you’re into horror and curious to see how Cronin reimagines a classic monster, this is definitely one to look forward to. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Leicester Square, Cranbourn Street, London, GB✈️ Fun fact I didn't know: shark skin is literally made out of millions of microscopic, tooth-like scales. If you were to brush up against a shark, it would shred you.
👋 All right you guys! If you’re already familiar with Renny Harlin’s work, then I’m sure you’ll agree, his films are a bit hit or miss, yet we can never say he’s not fun, because he is far from boring.
This Friday night will be diving into the sea for another one of those shark films, and I do like them shark films. It's kind of a guilty pleasure. This one is about a group of international passengers that are forced to make an emergency landing in shark-infested waters. And, of course they will have work together, regardless of whether they like each other or not, to overcome this frenzy of man-eating fish.
Yep, it’s nothing we haven’t heard before, but that’s not really the point. You never know though, there might be something different here.
This menacing evening we''l kick things off at Victory House Wine Bar (Leicester Square), before gearing up for what I hope will be a shark-infested thriller—There’ll be no 12A shenanigans tonight! 😝
After the film, we’ll regroup for our hot takes and Letterboxd review—you know the drill. But keep an eye on this page, as I’ll update you with the exact cinema details closer to the time.
Let’s hope these sharks seize us as food—or, at the very least, gives us a bite in the... pardon my French.
