* ¿Por qué ideales vale la pena morir?
* ¿Por qué nunca estamos satisfechos?
* ¿Por qué los seres humanos están informados de que la sociedad está yendo mal y los líderes están bien informados y las cosas continúan?
* ¿Es necesaria la identidad?
* ¿Qué es el precio ético y la codicia?
* ¿Qué es post-verdad?
* ¿Cómo puede ser que las personas en las sociedades democráticas estén tan obsesionadas con el poder? (Deseo de ser diferente, mejor, más fuerte que los demás).
* ¿Qué es la amistad?

Critical Readings Book Club: Dialogues across modern and contemporary classics
This book club approaches foundational texts that have shaped the past three centuries through a cross-disciplinary reading series that invites us to engage with the questions of our present.
Each session pairs one of these works with a strictly contemporary text (as an optional reading), creating a dialogue in which the past becomes a lens for thinking the present, and vice versa.
**No academic background is required; curiosity and openness are all you need.**

**THE BOOK:** In *On Freedom*, Timothy Snyder offers a philosophical and historical reflection on what freedom truly means. Moving beyond slogans, he explores how freedom depends on truth, solidarity, responsibility, and meaningful connection with others. Thought-provoking and deeply relevant, this book invites us to rethink liberty not just as independence — but as something we build together.
Last year we read Snyder’s *On Tyranny*, which inspired millions to fight for freedom. In *On Freedom*, the acclaimed Yale historian takes us on a philosophical and historical journey to understand exactly what freedom is, why it matters, and how we can protect it. Thought-provoking and urgent, this book invites us to rethink liberty not just as independence, but as a value we build and defend together.
"**On Freedom**" is available from **Backstory Bookshop** in paperback or as an audiobook.
**Paperback:** Stop by the shop, give them a call, or order online by [clicking here](https://backstorybookshop.shop/product/on-freedom-2/). directly through Backstory.

Can AI be conscious? The legal implications...
AI is making decisions, generating content, and raising questions we haven't legislated yet, including one that once seemed purely philosophical: can an AI have rights? Recent studies show we're already trusting AI more than our own judgment, with critical thinking declining the more we rely on it.
Meanwhile, violations are shaping legislation instead of the other way around, and the fences we're building may already be too late. This is a conversation about accountability, consciousness, and what happens when no one is checking if the rules actually work, or if there is even any rule at all.
This session will be led by James and Cody.
Bring wine/beer/drinks/food/snacks/whatever if you want to.

RUTA: LA BARCELONA ANTIFRANQUISTA
Hola a tod@s,
PRECIO: 14 Eu
¡Un saludo a tod@s!
Miguel

Humanist Program
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event.
We will be hearing from Becca Powell, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Unchained At Last, an organization whose mission is dedication to ending forced and child marriage in the United States through direct services and systems change. Unchained At Last's mission clearly meshes and addresses several of our Humanist Ten Commitments. Becca will educate us about an issue many of us may not be familiar with--but should be.
Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk.
Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. You can meet us in-person or attend online

Prompt vs. Paintbrush
AI is changing how art is made. But when does it stop being your work and start being the machine’s?
This month we're going to be doing a panel with with digital image, music, and written word artists, talking about at what point, while using AI in the creation process, does the work become not the artist creation?
We encourage audience participation during this event that will be moderated by Chris Slee.
Whether you’re deep in the field or just getting curious, come connect with others building and exploring AI in Columbus.

Connected Westerville Night of Networking!
**Connected Westerville Night of Networking** *April Edition: The Introduction Economy*
You've been to the networking events. You've done the small talk. Collected the cards. Forgotten the names. And walked out feeling like you just wasted two hours of your life.
The problem isn't you. It's the format.
Most networking events put you in a room and tell you to figure it out. So everyone defaults to elevator pitches and business talk, and nothing real gets built.
Here's the truth about networking that most people miss: Your network isn't just who you know. It's who thinks of you when they're talking to someone else.
*That's* The Introduction Economy. And it only works when relationships are real.
There's a reason people who come once keep coming back. It starts with seven minutes that feel nothing like networking.
Then we open it up. Free networking. More conversations. More momentum.
This is a room full of corporate professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, creatives, and career builders in the Westerville and Columbus area. The mix is the magic.
You might never do business with everyone you meet tonight. But someone in this room will think of *you.* **By name**. So, the next time someone needs exactly what you do, you get the recommendation.
**April 14th. RSVP now.**
**When:** Tuesday\, April 14th \| 6:15 PM \-\- 8:00 PM **Where:** Vineyard Community Center \| 6000 Cooper Rd\, Westerville\, OH 43081

Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., and the presentations will begin sharply at 6:30 p.m. Along with an excellent presentation, TEKsystems will provide food. Please RSVP so we know how much food to order. The session will also be broadcast at https://twitch.tv/TaleLearnCode.
### What If Your AI Could Be a Team?
GitHub Copilot is powerful, but what if you could scale from a solo AI assistant to an entire team of specialized agents working in parallel? This session introduces Squad: an open-source framework for multi-agent orchestration that lets you define teams of AI agents with specific roles, responsibilities, and expertise.
We'll progress from Copilot basics to the Copilot CLI, explore how Agents add autonomy, and see how Instructions and Skills let you customize agent behavior. Then, the climax: a live demo where a Squad team of 3 agents (Lead, Developer, Tester) stands up and builds a working application in real-time, showcasing true multi-agent collaboration.
Whether you're new to AI or exploring how to scale your use of Copilot, this session will show you what's possible when agents work as a team.
