Board Games in Finsbury Park 🎲♟️🐺
Board Games in Finsbury Park 🎲♟️🐺
**Whether you’re brand new to board games or just looking for a cosy way to meet people, this night is designed with you in mind.** We run our board game night twice a month, always in the same venue, and with the same familiar hosts. Our aim is simple: create the kind of event you enjoy so much that you want to come back - and maybe make a few new friends along the way. **Please use the link below to purchase tickets for this event.** [https://dplsk.eventcube.io/events/94958/board-games-at-finsbury-park/](https://dplsk.eventcube.io/events/94958/board-games-at-finsbury-park/) **⭐ What Makes This Event Special ⭐** **The Venue:** Blighty is cosy, colourful, and just a little bit quirky — like the living room of your eccentric aunt. It’s worlds away from the noise, crowds, and sticky tables of pubs and bars. **The Games:** We currently own over 50 games, including favourites like Articulate, Codenames, and Secret Hitler. Every game is hand‑picked for maximum fun and easy learning. **Blood on the Clocktower:** We often run Blood on the Clocktower as a special feature of the night. It’s completely optional, always beginner‑friendly, and a brilliant way to meet people through laughter, bluffing, and bold accusations. **The Hosts:** They are some of the loveliest people you will ever meet on Meetup. It doesn’t matter if it is your 1st time or 100th time coming to the board game night, they will always make you feel welcome. **Who This Event Is For** This night is perfect for people who are new to board games or just want something light, social, and easy going. * You don’t need to know any games beforehand. * You’re welcome to come alone or with a friend - either is completely fine. This is not a hardcore gaming night. You won’t find Dungeons & Dragons or Magic: The Gathering here. **Price — £5 per person** Your contribution helps us keep the event fresh and fun: * We buy new games every month to expand and update our collection. * Any games we no longer need are donated back to the community through regular giveaways. Please note that tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable. **Where & When** **Address:** Blighty, 35-37 Blackstock Road, Finsbury Park, London, N4 2JF **Google Maps:** [https://maps.app.goo.gl/p7X7u8VLoijfujS6A](https://maps.app.goo.gl/p7X7u8VLoijfujS6A) **Nearest Tube Station:** Finsbury Park Underground Station (approx 5 min walk) **Start Time:** 5:00 PM **End Time:** 9:00 PM If it’s your first time, we strongly recommend arriving before 5:30 PM so we can help you settle in and match you with a great game.

Saturday Tabletop Games at Premiere Cinemas
Saturday Tabletop Games at Premiere Cinemas
It's **Saturday** & our main night of the week & the fun & games are just getting started here at DWL! We're located here in the Cinema (which can be found on the 3rd floor of the Mercury Mall Shopping Centre) on: * **Tuesdays & Thursdays**: From 17:30 to 22:00. * **Saturdays**: From 12:00 to 22:00 🦁 And we're still running every Monday 6pm to 11pm at the Golden Lion Pub too. 🌭☕ There are hot & cold food & drink options available from the cinema at low prices! Supporting Premiere Cinema by buying their food & drink IS supporting Dicing With Life! The cinema has been very generous to us by bringing us into their space & our way of showing our gratitude is by sending some business their way. And their menu is surprisingly cheap! Especially compared to any other cinema. Here's some cool examples of some great **offers**: Buy a large **Popcorn** (it's a huge bucket!) or a large **fizzy drink** & it'll initially cost you £4, BUT, take your bucket or cup back to the bar for a **refill** & the cinema will refill it back up to the top for just £2! 🍿🥤 That's half price Popcorn & Pop! This also applies to **Ice Blasts** too (£5 initially but to refill it's just £3). There's also Hot Dogs, Nachos, Pick n Mix & many other treats in store too! Check out their menu 😋 If you have any questions, please ask & let the fun commence! 🎲
Board, card & dice games night at my place or The George (depending on numbers)
Board, card & dice games night at my place or The George (depending on numbers)
Hi everyone! (pre-pandemic information) If you like to play modern board, card and dice games, and to meet new people, then join us on Monday evenings from 6pm until the pub closes around 11pm. Feel free to bring your own games if you have them, but don't worry if you don't as regular members will bring some along. And of course, we'll teach you how to play them if you don't know already. You work late? No worries - you can join us any time before closing (11pm), so if you don't arrive at 6pm (attendees tend to arrive around 6:30 or 7pm), don't worry :-) Everyone comes and goes when they like, so it is possible that you may be the first to arrive or the last to leave, Please write in the comments what time you expect to arrive at the pub, so we can try to avoid anyone having to wait alone for long. We are a relaxed and friendly group, made up of both natives and foreigners, of locals and those living further afield, happy to welcome newbies and regulars. Events are free to attend, but it is respectable to the public venues we hold them at if you can buy at least one drink or some food while you are present, just like anyone else at the pub would do. If you would like to contribute towards the costs of running of this group, feel free to buy the host(s) a drink of their choice when you see them, for which they'd be very grateful. This saves money that can be put towards the Meetup subscription fees and buying the games that we all play. The George is a reasonably-priced 'local' pub in the Docklands, near Canary Wharf, just 1 minute walk from Crossharbour DLR station, or about 15 minutes walk from the Canary Wharf Jubilee line station. Various TFL buses stop nearby. Don't forget to join our group on Facebook for games news, articles, memes, gossip and banter: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Tabletop.Gamers.London.Docklands/

Sunday Gaming at The Bedford
Sunday Gaming at The Bedford
This event will take place in the Ballroom, so more space for everyone. Looking to play some longer games, or just fill a lazy Sunday? Well why not join us at The Bedford for an extended gaming session. You are of course welcome to stay as long you like, you can leave when you've scratched your gaming itch at any time. As these sessions are normally for longer games, a lot of people arrange games before hand in the chat, if you see one you would like to play, just reply and ask if there is space, easy. You'll welcome to bring your own games (it would be great if you could teach as well), or just join in with one of the others someone brings. There will be plenty of choice no doubt. Good fun, great company and delightful location are (almost) guaranteed, with excellent food and drink on hand. If it's your first time just ask for Rocky, or someone in the hi-vis jacket. Some of our old hands will be wearing badges, so you could ask them. We'll endeavour to get you into a game that suits you and your gaming level. Please remember to read the club description for our rules (there aren't many), and remember, please don't bring in food or drink from outside, we are getting the room for free and we don't want to jeopardise this. Also please be aware that being a Sunday our members will be playing longer games, so if you do turn up late or without organising a game, there maybe quite a wait. Hope to see you there.

I have some spare bikes for children and adults, and I'm proposing a nice cycling experience, around Broxbourne. After cycling, we can play ping-pong, or board games, if the weather is not good.

Board games at The Forge
Board games at The Forge
The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area. Parking can be challenging. There is a parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.

Casual Boardgames - make friends, then beat them in games
Casual Boardgames - make friends, then beat them in games
Welcome to Casual Boardgames, where we enjoy classic tabletop games and social deduction games while bonding over good food, drinks, and great conversations.
We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that. We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus.
Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn.
Here are just a few examples of the kind of games we play.
Tabletop/board games: Splendor, Catan, Azul, Dominion, 7 Wonders…
Social deduction games: Code Names, Chameleon, Werewords…
IMPORTANT:
1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for.
2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.
