Magical Mindfulness Tour of the Senses

On this guided tour with a difference, discover how to live life lucidly in the present moment, open to your senses, listen to yourself and start to be your own guide!
Using a walk through the streets of Barcelona as practice, I will guide you in a mindfulness meditation which will help you get out of your head, bringing attention to your senses and the felt sensations in the body, stepping into deeper awareness of yourself, making your experience of the city even more magical and vibrant.
We will begin our time together in the hidden oasis of carrer d’Allada Vermell, in the barrio of El Born, with an initial guided meditation. From this point of connection to yourself, anchored in the present, will we continue the practice walking through El Born with its winding streets and surprises around every corner.
On our magical tour of sensorial delights, lasting approximately 2 hours, we will take in such places as the Palau de la Musica, Casa Perris, Funky Baker, Santa Maria del Mar and Santa Caterina Market, ending up at a nearby square for a chat about your experience.

A las 20:00h tenemos una meditación budista guiada. La meditación tiene una duración de unos 25 minutos y es accesible y beneficiosa para personas de todos los niveles de experiencia.

¿Qué es el Camino del Diamante?
El Buda dio instrucciones a tres clases de personas. Las primeras que deseaban evitar el sufrimiento recibieron las enseñanzas sobre Causa y Efecto, llamadas Camino Angosto (Hinayana). El segundo tipo de personas sentía la necesidad de beneficiar a los demás, por lo que les dio enseñanzas sobre compasión y sabiduría, llamadas Gran Camino (Mahayana). Finalmente a las personas que tenían una confianza sólida en su propio potencial y en de los demás, el Buda explicó enseñanzas del Camino del Diamante (Vajrayana). En este último nivel utilizamos métodos de identificación con la meta y actuamos como un Buda hasta que llegamos a ser como él. En el nivel más elevado, la meta, es el completo desarrollo de la mente, a lo cual denominó el Gran Sello (Mahamudra).
¿Quiénes somos?
El Centro Budista Camino del Diamante de Barcelona forma parte de los más de 700 centros de meditación a nivel internacional de la tradición Karma Kagyu del Budismo Tibetano. Estos centros han sido fundados y guiados por Lama Ole Nydahl y su esposa Hannah Nydahl, de acuerdo con los deseos de H. H. XVI Karmapa. Ahora están bajo la guía espiritual de H.H. XVII Gyalwa Karmapa, Trinley Thaye Dorje.
Nuestro centro está formado por personas que tienen sus propios trabajos e incorporan las enseñanzas y las meditaciones del Camino del Diamante en sus vidas cotidianas. Nuestros miembros comparten la responsabilidad de guiar meditaciones, contestar preguntas y dar explicaciones sobre budismo.
Nuestro trabajo no es remunerado y se basa en el idealismo y la amistad. Realizamos noches semanales de meditación, que están abiertas al público y son gratuitas. Hay un ambiente social relajado y se animan las preguntas.
Las meditaciones son guiadas en castellano, permitiendo que el espacio, la claridad y la alegría surjan naturalmente. Otras actividades incluyen charlas, enseñanzas y práctica personal.

Mindful Eating Experience 🍽️🌿
**What if eating could be a meditation?**
Most of us eat on autopilot: scrolling, rushing, barely tasting. Mindful Eating is the practice of slowing down and bringing full, gentle attention to the experience of nourishment. The colours on the plate. The first smell. The texture. The warmth. The taste that arrives before you even expect it.
It sounds simple. And it is. But like all mindfulness practices, simple doesn't mean easy, and the rewards are quietly profound.
**🌿 What is Mindful Eating?**
Mindful Eating is a form of mindfulness meditation practice that invites us to:
* Slow down and engage all the senses during a meal
* Notice hunger, fullness, and the body's signals with curiosity rather than judgment
* Bring presence and gratitude to the act of eating
* Let food become an anchor for awareness just as birdsong does on our walks
This experience is also part of my requirements for my Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification which asks me to teach a wide range of mindfulness practices. What started with a Birdsong Walk has now grown into something more expansive. This is the next step. 🌿

I moved to Barcelona from the Philippines about 10 years ago, and every time I walk through the doors of Kasarap, something in me exhales. It feels like home. I imagine you know that feeling, the one you get when you find a little piece of your own country somewhere far from it.
I would love to share Filipino food with you. If you haven't tried it yet, I truly cannot wait for this to be your first time.
Filipino food is communal by nature — dishes are placed in the middle of the table and shared — which makes it a beautiful, fitting setting for a mindfulness practice rooted in connection.

Originally from Colombia and now based in Barcelona, Juanita is a designer, artist, and writer whose work lives at the intersection of attention, curiosity, and being human. Her practice moves through drawing, journaling, and quiet observation — a way of staying in conversation with life, especially the subtle layers we often overlook. She explores inner landscapes through play, emotion, and lived experience, listening closely to what wants to emerge. Juanita brings a deeply intuitive and creative presence to this experience. A reminder that meaning and magic aren’t something we chase — they reveal themselves when we slow down enough to notice.

***This is not a therapy session...*** A small community with big vision for our collective future, a place to connect with others, with unique ideas and perspectives, holding space, **having our voice heard**.
An open space for us all; to understand and feel that **we are not alone.**
**Going forward** our idea is to take all that we learn and create together out in to the **real world**, not only for our personal lives or those closest to us but for others and projects looking for **support**.
**Together**, as a team **forged in the fire**, getting to know each other in a way that's simply not possible with busy lives, and so many distractions around us, even in typical "social" gatherings.
No single leader alone, from the ground up it will be an ongoing **collaborative effort**. If you're not a part of the core team managing logistics, themes etc. You will be encouraged/invited to lead, to host, to share you're own unique and special gifts, talents or interests in future gatherings.

Our **core values** will stem from a **mutual respect**, of each other, of our time and energy put in to creating and participating, of the space we hold, the space itself (where the event will be hosted or where we venture outside) and that we are all as similar as we are different.
There will be a **united, strong accountability theme**, pushing each other to **dive deeper** and **explore ideas**, learning to **communicate in a healthier way** so we have something fundamental for our everyday lives.

## **FAQ**
**Do I need to know how to dance or sing?**
Absolutely NOT!! This is a space to express yourself freely.
**I've never done something like this, is this weird?**
Come with an open mind, a desire to explore new ideas and play! The main goal is to be authentically YOURSELF while respecting those around you.
**Are there any rules?**
As with any gathering at Samanà Space; singing circle or ecstatic dance journey etc, we will be without shoes inside.
It is a **vegan**, **alcohol/drug free place. (Respectfully, please do not bring or enter the space with any food or drink not in line with this, even if you do not plan to consume it inside)**
And of course, consent is fundamental if you want to engage with anyone else.
**Should I eat before coming?**
We recommend eating a light meal that won't affect your capacity to move. If you do bring any drinks or snacks, please remember we are a vegan space. There will be healthy snacks, food and drink towards the end.
**How should I dress?**
Comfortable clothes for you to move and dance.
You might want to bring clothes to change afterward, if you like.

Esta vez nos escapamos a la naturaleza para descubrir el **Estany de Sils**, uno de los humedales más importantes de la Cataluña interior.
Un entorno lleno de vida donde se mezclan **zonas húmedas, prados y 🌳 bosques de ribera**, especialmente vibrante en primavera, con flores, agua abundante y una gran presencia de aves. 🦆
Caminaremos por un itinerario que sigue el antiguo perímetro del estanque, atravesando paisajes naturales diversos y tranquilos, ideales para observar fauna y **disfrutar sin prisas**.
Un paseo perfecto para **desconectar, respirar y dejarse sorprender por la naturaleza**.

Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance.
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues.
So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them?
That is what this meeting will be all about.
