You’re invited to receive a **gentle, individual Reiki session** held outdoors in a calm, natural setting in Montjuïc.
These sessions are offered as a quiet, supportive space to rest, reset, and reconnect — held slowly, with care, clarity, and consent.

### **✨ What to expect**
Each session lasts **30 minutes** and includes:
* **10 minutes** of brief conversation and a short grounding meditation
* **20 minutes** of hands-on Reiki (placing my hands on you, always with consent)
* A calm, held space — no pressure to talk or “experience” anything in a certain way
The session takes place **outdoors**, either **sitting or lying down on a mat**, surrounded by nature.
I’ll provide:
* A mat for lying down
* A light cover/blanket
* Headphones and gentle music
You’re also welcome to:
* Bring your own mat, blanket, or cushion

### 🌸 What is Reiki?
Reiki, as offered here, is based on **Usui Reiki Ryōhō**, the traditional Japanese system founded by Mikao Usui.
It is a gentle, hands-on practice that supports relaxation, grounding, and nervous system regulation. Rather than trying to fix or change anything, Reiki offers conditions for the body and mind to rest and rebalance naturally.
Sessions are held as a **contemplative practice**, with emphasis on presence, listening, and consent.
People experience Reiki in different ways. This may include:
* Deep relaxation
* A sense of calm or warmth
* Emotional settling
* Or simply the experience of resting
There’s nothing you need to believe, visualise, or achieve — you can simply rest and receive.
Reiki sessions offered here are **not a substitute for medical or therapeutic care**.

On this guided tour with a difference, discover how to live life lucidly in the present moment, open to your senses, listen to yourself and start to be your own guide!
Using a walk through the streets of Barcelona as practice, I will guide you in a mindfulness meditation which will help you get out of your head, bringing attention to your senses and the felt sensations in the body, stepping into deeper awareness of yourself, making your experience of the city even more magical and vibrant.
We will begin our time together in the hidden oasis of carrer d’Allada Vermell, in the barrio of El Born, with an initial guided meditation. From this point of connection to yourself, anchored in the present, will we continue the practice walking through El Born with its winding streets and surprises around every corner.
On our magical tour of sensorial delights, lasting approximately 2 hours, we will take in such places as the Palau de la Musica, Casa Perris, Funky Baker, Santa Maria del Mar and Santa Caterina Market, ending up at a nearby square for a chat about your experience.
Take the opportunity on your trip to tune into yourself and see how things start to unfold magically!

Meditation micro meetup for secular practitioners
Hello fellow meditators!
This is the first meetup for this new group. Please read the group description for a fuller idea of what the intention is here =)
What to expect from this session...:
* Aiming for 3-5 participants. Keeping things small will allow more depth.
* Meet up on my tranquil terrace in Eixample (see attached photo). Homemade chai provided.
* Some meeting and greeting. With structured icebreakers.
* Meditate together for around 20mins. We will look for a volunteer to guide the group, I am also happy to.
* Structured or unstructured discussion. Topics available.
* We go on with our respective days =)
This is intended for people who are already practitioners. What does that mean? Well, it's flexible, but people with a regular practice that they are actively trying to deepen. **This isn't a group to 'teach' you meditation**.
What should I bring?
* Weather-appropriate clothing, the intention will be do do this outside in the sun/shade.
* Openness, curiosity, friendliness.
Do we need ground rules?
* This is strictly a group based on openness and respect. Hopefully enough said there.
* This is a new group, and the first event, so please be open about feedback at any time. I'm starting this, but with the intention of creating a community not a dictatorship, so it really is for you guys to shape!

Welcome to like to our first meeting of the Curious Minds Club.🧐☺️
The idea is simple: once a month we gather in a small group to share and discuss topics that genuinely interest us.
Format: Each participant prepares (or improvises) a 5-minute talk on any topic they like. It could be:
* a book you recently read
* something new you learned
* an idea or insight you’ve been thinking about
* a hobby or passionliterally anything you find interesting
After each short talk, the group can ask questions and have a short discussion.
Why are we doing this?
The goal is to practice public speaking, share ideas, and learn from each other. Sometimes explaining something out loud helps us understand it better — and you might be surprised how interesting the conversations can become.

This gentle, nature-based mindfulness walk is an invitation to slow down, listen to birdsong instead of notifications, and reconnect with yourself through simple presence. No experience needed, just comfortable shoes and a willingness to be here.

Join a slow, mostly silent walk through the Montjuïc area, guided by birdsong, breath, and gentle presence.
This is an invitation to step out of the rush of everyday life and reconnect with your body, your senses, and the natural world around you.

**What we’ll do ✨**
* We begin with a short, gentle grounding practice.
* We walk at a slow, mindful pace (intentionally slower than a usual walk).
* We use birdsong and natural sounds as anchors for awareness.
* We pause at times to listen, sense, or simply be still.
* We close with a few moments of shared stillness.
**A note on birds 🐦**
* This is not a birdwatching walk, though we use birdsong as a meditation anchor.
* If you’re curious, I’m always happy to chat after the walk about birds we noticed by sight or sound. We hold a monthly gathering for amateur birdwatching.
**Language 🗣**
* Guided talks and meditations are currently offered in English.
* I’m learning Spanish and Catalan and hope to offer guided practices in those languages in the future.
**Group size 👥**
* We began with very small, intimate groups due to individual Reiki sessions. As interest has grown, more spots are opening and the structure is kept simple so we can walk together more spaciously.
* Returning walkers may occasionally join beyond the usual number, as they are already familiar with the pace and nature of the practice.

I’m a mindfulness teacher in training, and part of this journey includes learning through practice. You may be gently invited to share feedback to help me grow as a facilitator.

**“Why come to the ‘Touch’ practice”**
Of course, it is not about getting a massage)
It is about learning how to create different states and transmit them to a partner through touch.
To feel yourself and understand what you like.
To expand your techniques, then improvise with a partner and surprise them.
And in all of this, the main focus will not be technique, but contact and attunement with your partner.
This is a partner practice. It takes place fully clothed.
You can come with your partner or choose a partner during the practice.
In my experience, when touch is done with attention and kindness (this will be our main intention), it becomes very pleasant. And yes, it is also an ecological way to nourish yourself with tactility and attention.

Using Philosophy to Cope with Current Events
So this month's prompt is more general. I think we can all agree that we are living in "unique" times that require coping skills. I think that one role and/or purpose of philosophy is to help us deal with our daily lives and our "unique" times. So, let's share our feelings and thoughts about which philosopher/philosophy we turn to in order to deal with our crazy events. Who/what helps you stay focused in your daily life and helps you sleep at night. I find that Stoicism with a little philosophical pessimism mixed in goes a long way in helping me deal with what I see as very destructive, fearful and mean spirited public policies at both the state and federal levels.
