Hey! This is SUPER last minute, but Jake and I wanted to try an event tomorrow on Easter around my usual dusk time. Let's hope the weather cooperates, the cancellation of Saturday is one reason Easter's worth a shot (I think it's Passover, too!) Hope some of y'all can make it! Nick and Hannah will be meeting up at 11am to train for an hour before practice. The focus will be primarily on the US Women's National Team, but any other players who are interested in additional training and coaching are welcome to attend. We will be practicing individual skills and running drills. This event is not intended for first time paddlers. If you are interested in learning to play kayak polo for the first time, we'd love to meet you at a dedicated beginner's session during our training season from March through October. Keep an eye out for beginner practices to be posted in the spring! Yoga Nidra is a timeless practice of deep, guided relaxation. In this class, we will do some gentle exercises to relax the body, and then we will lie down for an extended relaxation. We will begin and end the class with some simple meditation. This class meets monthly, usually the first Sunday of the month, and is open to adults and teens. RSVP is required: through MeetUp or by phone, text, or email. BRING a mat; a thick towel/blanket/rug to cushion the floor; and an extra blanket if you like to cover yourself during the relaxation. This easy hike in the north Austin Wells Branch neighborhood is on a smooth, mostly flat paved/crushed granite trail that goes through parkland and neighborhoods. It is usually lovely in the spring. The hike will be about 4 miles long and take 1.5 - 2 hours. Parts of it are shaded and parts are in the sun. You can get there from I 35 or MOPAC. We will meet in the small parking lot at **MILLS POND PARK, 15108 Wells Port Drive. WARNING: It is easy to miss the park entrance. Look for the sign.** Please consider if you are in shape for this kind of walk, for your own safety and in consideration of others. Check this website for cancellation if the weather is questionable.
