This group is for anyone interested in writing in English, whether it be prose or poetry or non-fiction. We get together once a week to listen, critique and support each other in our work. Attendees bring something they have written, which they read aloud. They then receive feedback from the rest of the group. The size of the group is limited to 4, so that everyone is able to receive a full 30 minutes of constructive feedback including reading time. We are an anglophone group and everything is conducted in English, in fact not everyone who comes can speak French. Please bear this in mind if you sign up.

Hosts conduct several Zoom Conference calls each week. You'll find these calls enormously helpful as you learn and implement the principles of unconditional love. Hello! Are you serious about executing your marketing plan consistently? I am. Although, to be honest I have really struggled to stick to my marketing plans. I tend to go for the "go big or go home" approach and then end up being overwhelmed and doing little or nothing. A solid marketing habit is the only thing between my current situation and an incredible lifestyle business. Tiny consistent actions every day is the way forward. If you find yourself in a similar situation jump on the video call every week day at 1pm - it's just 30 minutes. We will share goals, obstacles, strategies and provide accountability. Above all we will keep things tiny.

Although probably most of us don't want to admit it, despite our almost infinite language capability and our amazingly powerful science and technology based upon rationality (consistency with the rules of logic and the rules of evidence), ethically we are still mostly chimp-like, using mostly the authoritarian ethics that comes with our basic animal (hominid) nature, ethics that is based upon obedience to the most powerful (parent, leader, culture, deity). Consequently, we are talking, hi-tech "chimps," doing what chimps do but in our highly-sophisticated ways such that it is no longer so evident what is going on. (The best example, perhaps, is our tendency to fight, at all levels of relationship, from interpersonal to international, and with all levels of sophistication from murder and genocide to innuendo and cyberwarfare.) The problem is that this way of living brings about much pain, suffering, disability, and early death (PSDED). Indeed, we are our most feared predator, and even what we do to ourselves (lifestyle) is pretty awful. And our whole species is at severe risk because of our widespread lack of, and denial of, the knowledge that our science and technology are making available to us. Yet, because of our enormous language and hi-tech (rational) capabilities, we are indeed beginning to manifest a new kind of ethics, not authoritarian ethics, but instead rational ethics that is also consistent with an (not yet generally verbalized) ultimate ethical principle--something like: "We should do that which will promote, not only the survival of our species, but also as much joy, contentment, and appreciation as possible and as little pain, suffering, disability, and early death (PSDED) as possible, for everyone, now and in the future." This specific ultimate ethical principle, arbitrarily chosen by some of us for whatever reasons, now has the label "Humanian Ultimate Ethical Principle (HUEP)," and is what a Humanian, by definition, wants his or her ethical beliefs to be in sync with on a rational basis. How far along are we in the development of this new kind of ethics? The news media and our own knowledge based upon our own personal experience can easily lead us to recognize that we are still just a toddler, with a long, long way to go. But those of us that are striving to go in that direction can have a much more satisfying life, as we increasingly train ourselves to behave consistently with the HUEP, and advocate for doing so. In a Humanian organization, like Charlotte Humanianity, we work together on the never-ending task of becoming more ethical in our decision-making. We do this by challenging each other with regard to our ethical beliefs (about what we should and should not do) and by reviewing ethical presentations (in the media) that challenge our thinking. The challenging is necessary to help us grow, instead of remaining in denial while making life worse for ourselves and each other. Humanianity is a phenomenon that has been emerging in many ways for quite some time; it is simply given it a label so that we can talk about it more specifically and help its emergence to occur a little more rapidly. This is an organization in which, as one way of studying, we include challenging each other's opinions in our pursuit of ever-increasing ethical wisdom, in order to have a more satisfying life and to do our parts to make the world a better place for everyone." - WVF

There are several traits inside all of us that precisely make us who we are and that is called our personality. A lot of it depends on how the outside world perceives our personality and reacts to it. And that makes us human beings as a whole. types-of-personalities2Everybody has a basic idea of what kind of a person they are, but a lot of times, they tend to act opposite in order to hide several characteristics of themselves and that comes with a lot of problems in their social structure and standing. Over the years many have tried head over heels in order to determine several types of personality traits that could constitute all of them but there hasn’t been any success so far in that regard and the topic remains debated. But talking about the different types of personalities, the experts have been able to find certain personality traits that constitute a personality on the whole and we will discuss those traits further. But before that, we must say that the overall personality of a human being can be a combination of all those traits or one or two of them. Only in depth study can allow us to determine the traits of the personality.

I have decided to post these video calls as events because of three things. The third one is the most important, so please read through to the end at least once. Firstly, Google has changed the way Google hangouts works. Hangouts no longer has a built-in video call function. If you attempt to use the video call function, it prompts you to send out a Google Meet link. This makes Google Hangouts only a chat room that persists 24/7, and that people can type into or read at their leisure. I still think Hangouts is useful, and I intend to continue to type things into it, including information about the video calls. Secondly, I have become aware that many people do not know that we have video calls on Wednesday nights, in spite of the fact that I mention it in all of my monthly broadcast messages. I have literally had someone say, I wish I had known. Thirdly, and most importantly, In the past, I never know ahead of time how many people will join the video call. This event page will give us a chance to announce that we will join the video call. Human nature being what it is, more people will join if they know you are participating, because you are intelligent and interesting. So, it is very important that we click on Attend, so that the event host and the other members will know that we will participate.
