**IMPORTANT:** Due to construction at our previous meeting location which closed down the parking lot we've temporarily moved the starting location to **Brushy Creek Lake Park**. The relevant information has been updated to reflect this. Join us for our **recurring** scenic **6.6-mile (10.6-km)** evening at the Brushy Creek Regional Trail in Cedar Park! We’ll take a relaxed pace through one of the city’s most beautiful trails. The hike should take about **2 hours**. **ℹ️ Additional info** The purpose of this specific event is to have a recurring way for us to meet relatively easily. I want to make sure that recurring events are a "low effort" commitment, ie you don't have to drive 2 hours to get there. In the future once we have more organizers I plan to have more recurring events scheduled so we can cover a larger area. Also, you may have noticed that **this event has an RSVP limit**. This is done for multiple reasons. A Watershed Protection Plan (WPP) is a voluntary, community-driven framework designed to improve water quality in a specific watershed by identifying pollution sources, establishing goals, and outlining management strategies. It brings together stakeholders—such as anglers, landowners, and community members—to create a science-based, actionable plan that protects local waterways. At this meeting, guest speaker Sarah Stannard, Program Specialist with Texas Water Resources Institute, will share updates on watershed conditions and local projects. Attendees are encouraged to provide feedback and discussion on priorities and the development of the watershed protection plan. As part of the fly fishing community, your input is critical to guide future watershed conservation initiatives for Brushy Creek!

Join us on this visual scavenger hunt through the various habitats of Nalle Bunny Run Wildlife Preserve. We’ll look at the spaces, elements, and patterns in nature that help to reset our nervous system and the concepts behind why they help to clear mental clutter. Join us for a two mile trail hike alongside the Brookside Trail at Blendon Woods Metro Park. This trail is largely gravel and does include some hills and stairs. Hopefully we will see some wildlife while hike this scenic trail! Join us!

5th annual Earth Day Celebration! This year (2026) the Celebration is scheduled for April 25th with activities running from 10am-2pm. This is a non-ticketed event. Everyone is welcome!
