The Council of Solace is a special meditation where we gather to direct our spiritual energy to help bring about healing and peace to the world. Many people do this as part of a daily practice in service of others and find it to be a personally enriching experience that provides them with a sense of renewal. Please join us as we gather for a noontime meditation each weekday.

Come on down and we'll get you pointed in the right direction and familiar with some basic resources. Area512 is the name we’ve given to our newly acquired telescope storage and maintenance facility where we intend to hold Scope Clinics to assist our members who may have mechanical or operational issues with their astronomy equipment. Area512 will also house our astronomy lending library and will be the focal point for our loaner scope program. We also plan to offer training/educational sessions and provide a place to meet mentors if you are just starting out in the hobby. Looking forward to seeing y’all there.

Bring your Raspberry Pi, Arduino, microcontroller, or any other electronic project and join fellow electronics makers for a night of creativity and collaboration! This session is open forum to share your current projects—whether complete or in progress, it’s all interesting! Whether you’re deep into embedded systems, exploring new ideas, or just getting started, you’ll find a welcoming space to collaborate, share, and get inspired. **New to electronics or curious about tinkering?** You’re absolutely welcome. If you’re a beginner and want to experiment, I’ll have a couple of starter kits available so you can try things out—whether that’s blinking your first LED, putting something on a display, or experimenting with simple sensors. No pressure and no experience required—just an interest in learning and building. While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability. This session will be at the Worthington Park Library in the Olentangy Meeting Room.

Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
