Our destination is the Long Center, where we'll spend an hour chilling, listening to the free outdoor [symphony concert](https://my.austinsymphony.org/hartmanconcerts) . Recommended to bring a blanket or lightweight chair and food & drink - expecting to return to the start about 9:15pm. Austin Parks prohibit alcohol, glass, styrofoam, smoking, and vaping. The Long Center allows us to use their indoor, air-conditioned restrooms and water fountain. If problems arise, you and your pet will need to depart from the group. During the concert you must keep your pet quiet and directly by your side - not roaming. Casual open play pickleball for all levels, including beginners. Equipment: You will need to purchase a paddle, or you can rent one from the front desk. We play with “outdoor” balls. Usually our group has some but it’s a good idea to bring them just in case. I highly recommend wearing a good quality court shoe and comfortable athletic wear. We'll hike 3.4 miles on the Killdeer and Yellowlegs Trails - both out and back gravel trails. If we want more mileage we can repeat an out and back. Pace of around 3.5 mph, no one left behind and those who want to go faster sure can! As always optional lunch after. This is the second Metro Park in the lineup for me - with 21 to go (plus more are being added).
