We are a Berlin community of writers who gather together weekly to write, talk and recharge after a long week. Meet like-minded people, get authentic meditation instructions and hang out in our beautiful Buddhist meditation center in the west of Berlin! The practice of meditation is a simple, yet profound practice that helps us to connect with ourselves and gives us tools to release experiences of distraction, agitation, and stress. In the Buddhist tradition, meditation is more than just a way to end the mind´s distraction - it is what helps us to bring our mind home to its true nature. What better way to experience the colourful facets of meditation than with a group of like-minded people? Hence our open meditation sessions always have a social element as well - we like to have a tea and share about our meditation experiences, or whatever else we want to explore. There is also always the chance to ask questions to our experienced meditation instructors. These sessions are held in English and open to everyone - complete beginners as well as those with more experience. The sessions are every week on Friday at 17:00-18:30.

The topic for April is "Water" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway*, *ComedySportz*, or *Wild 'n Out*; it could also be done to tell stories, like *Middleditch and Schwartz*.
