We are making reservation and counting on you to show up, so please register only when you are going to be there, don't forget to update your RSVP if you can't come.

If you are new to the meetup, don't worry, just come and say hi to the organizer. We also have many long-term regulars who will be happy to help you out and feel welcomed.

Looking forward to see you! 😊
@ Anna Blume - A cozy book swap and chat meetup!
The "classical" bookswap is simple:
* We meet in a café and put the book(s) we brought down on the tables.
* We browse and discuss the books with one another while sipping coffee or hot chocolate, or eating cake.
* We write our names down on any books we’d like to take home (post-its and pens provided).
* At the end of the evening, negotiate any books that are contended and take a new-to-you book home!
Books/happiness shared are books/happiness multiplied! A Bookswap is 10 times better than a Book Club because you can talk about ALL the books instead of just one!
This is a great way to give your books a new home and make room for new books: that book you feel guilty for not having read even though it's been sitting on your bedside table for the last 5 years, the book you liked but didn't love, the book you loved so much you want everyone to read it, the book you somehow own three copies of, that book you absolutely hated even though everyone else loves it, and so on.
Moreover, you will meet fellow readers, get a new book or two, and several book recommendations. We’ve often had readers experience books they wouldn't normally buy and enjoy it.
GROUP EXPECTATIONS for PLEASANT SWAPPING
* Please bring a book! It's not that you bring one you take one, but do try your best to bring something.
* Books stay on the tables, open for sharing, until you are ready to leave so that everyone can have a look. We are notably not first come first serve. Please wait until you are leaving to bag the book.
* If two or more people want the only copy of a book, negotiate. Maybe one of you reads it first and then gives it to the others. Or perhaps they have found another book instead. Or leave it to fate and toss a coin. The best part: now you have found somebody whose taste you can really admire. In any case, please don't walk away with a book with several names on it without letting the others know.
These negotiations are fun and easy, so don't shy away from a book because there's already a name on it, and feel free to put your name on as many books as you find interesting. It's not that you bring one you take one; you may take as many as you can negotiate.
* Political discussions with consent: make sure the people you are talking to would like to have a political discussion with you.
* Please respect this space as first and foremost a community for connecting readers over their love of books and reading, stories, and narratives of all sorts. Please be respectful of tastes and opinions.
* If something is bothering you, please reach out to the organizers, and we'll do our best to resolve it.
* Lastly, don't expect your book back. It will find a new home. If you love it, let it go.
Major LANGUAGES (and genres) of this meetup: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian; Fiction, Non-Fiction, Serious Reading, Light Fun, “classics", Krimis, Booker winners, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Self-Help and more. You never know who can read what languages, and there's no accounting for taste.
We are a delightful and international group of readers.
We look forward to swapping with you!
SU&W in Zehlendorf
Shut-Up & Write Zehlendorf meets Fridays, except during school holidays, following the standard format of 15 minutes to say hello, followed by two 45 minute writing sessions and a break in between. The location is a cozy coworking space, which means it's quite peaceful, with no music playing or customers chatting around us. Coffee and tea are available in the kitchen, so there's no pressure to purchase anything (though donations are welcome!). So come and join us for some quiet work in a quiet space.
When you arrive, if the door is closed, just text or ring The Space Coworking: 0178 869 0222.
Scent & Sip: Incense x Wine Tasting
What happens when incense and wine share the same air?
In this intimate session, we pair natural incense with selected wines to explore how scent shapes taste, memory, and mood. As incense burns gently in the background, each sip unfolds differently — softer, rounder, more present.
This is not a typical tasting, but a ritual of attention, guided slowly and intentionally.

Open Reflection Women's Circle
**Open Reflection Circle** is a small and intimate women’s gathering in Berlin, where we come together in a cozy café to share, reflect, and connect with one another.
In this circle, a small group of around **8–10 women** gathers to spend time in meaningful conversation and reflection. We begin by introducing ourselves and gently creating a space where everyone feels comfortable and welcomed.
Through guided reflection prompts, we explore our journeys, our emotions, and the experiences that shape our lives. These prompts are designed to help you open up and reflect more deeply on your thoughts, your dreams, and the challenges you may be navigating.
We also include a few light and playful exercises to break the ice and help everyone feel relaxed and connected. The intention is not to create pressure to share, but to create an environment where sharing feels natural and safe.
The heart behind the **Open Reflection Circle** is simple:
to bring together women who can hold space for each other and remind one another that we are not alone in our journeys.
This is a space where we can talk honestly about our lives — our visions, our goals, what we are building, and what sometimes holds us back from taking action.
We reflect together on questions such as:
Where do we want to go in life?
What are we dreaming of creating?
What challenges are we facing in our emotional wellbeing or personal growth?
By listening to one another’s stories and perspectives, we often discover insights that we might not have seen on our own.
You are encouraged to bring a **notebook and pen**, as many women like to take notes from reflections, ideas, and inspiration that arise during the conversation.
Toward the end of the gathering, we close with a small and meaningful practice: exchanging short **love letters of gratitude** with each other.
These simple messages help us acknowledge the presence of the women in the circle and leave the space with a feeling of appreciation, connection, and warmth.
The intention of this circle is not advice or fixing each other’s problems.
It is simply to **listen, reflect, learn from one another, and hold space for the beautiful complexity of each woman’s journey.**
Bodies in fragments: One-Day Collage Workshop
We are excited to welcome our guest teacher, [Leticia Quirós](https://www.instagram.com/retaleh_/), again, who will be leading a new, incredible workshop!
**Are you interested in exploring the body from a creative, symbolic and free perspective?** In this collage workshop, we will explore the theme of bodies as a space for expression, identity and transformation.
Through cutting, layering and composition, we will create images that redefine our understanding of what a body is and what parts make it up.
A workshop open to experimentation and play, so that the images have texture and a visual narrative.
No previous experience is necessary. The only rule is that there are no rules. Come and be surprised by the papers, textures and creative power of your hands.
**Details**
* When: Friday, **24.04** from 6 PM to 8 PM.
* Cost: €25 with **all materials included** (but feel free to bring magazines, flyers, newspapers or whatever material you would like to use during the workshop).
* Location: Berlin Art Club, Friedrichshain.
* Sign up: Please send us an e-mail to hola.berlinartclub@gmail.com.
We will be waiting for you with something to drink and snacks to enjoy a relaxed evening together :)
*Don’t forget to invite your friends!*

[https://t.me/+1RVY0Ld5ny8zYmZi](https://t.me/+1RVY0Ld5ny8zYmZi)

* Эрих Фромм «Искусство любить» — о любви как навыке и форме зрелости;
* Хан Бён-Чхоль «Агония Эроса» — о том, как современная культура подрывает возможность глубокой близости;
* Мартин Бубер «Я и Ты» — о различии между подлинной встречей и отношением к другому как к объекту.
* Modern Relationships (ред. Mahzad Hojjat, Anne Moyer) — обзор современных форм отношений и выбора партнёров;
* Ева Иллуз «Почему любовь ранит?» — социологический анализ трансформации романтической сферы;
* Christian Rudder Dataclysm — о том, что данные дейтинг-платформ говорят о реальном поведении людей.
* Elyakim Kislev — о жизни в одиночку и уровне удовлетворённости;
* Wahring, Simpson, Van Lange — о различиях в значении отношений для мужчин и женщин;
* Sharabi и др. — о влиянии дейтинг-приложений на психологическое состояние.

I WRITE – A Silent Writing Club (Just You & Your Words)
Welcome to **I WRITE**, a gentle space for anyone who wants to write—quietly, freely, and without judgement.
We are a Berlin community of writers who gather together weekly to write, talk and recharge after a long week. Some of us journal, some write novels, some do academic writing, many people come without a project in mind and see where the inspiration flow takes them. This is a space to simply show up and write, a safe place to be yourself and to release all your layers onto the paper.
There’s no set topic, no feedback circle, and no pressure. Just warm people, a calm atmosphere, and time dedicated to yourself.
🗓️ **Agenda:**
* 14:30 - 15:00 **→** 30 min arriving, optional socialising (arrive early, meet other writers)
* 15:00 - 16:00 **→** 1 hour of silent writing (headphones welcome, focus encouraged)
* 16:00–16:30 **→** 30 mins break + optional chat or solo time (stay and chat or go celebrate the rest of your Saturday)
* 16:30–17:30 → 1 more hour of silent writing (for those staying)
* 17:30–18:00 → 30 mins of chat, and leaving
🎒 **Bring:**
* Something to write with (laptop, notebook, phone, typewriter… anything goes)
* Something to drink (there is no cafeteria, unfortunately)
* Your current project or a blank page
* Yourself, exactly as you are
**👉 Responsibility:**
* Our location is limited; thus, I am kindly asking you to RSVP only if you are willing to attend.
**📍Location:**
* We meet at **Heinrich Schulz Library in Charlottenburg**. In the library, go look for the Gruppenraum; I will be waiting for you there. Any trouble finding the room, I will come to meet you outside.
* 🚇 U7 **Richard-Wagner-Platz**
* 🚌 M45 Bus **U Richard-Wagner-Platz**
**About me:**
Hi, my name is Anastasia. I started this writing club back in May 2025. Since then, it has been hosted weekly at the Heinrich Schulz Library (who is kind enough to allow us to use this room for free). Over this time, I’ve been privileged to meet some of the most creative and kind minds in Berlin. And I would be happy if you joined us. Whether you're an experienced writer or just at the beginning of your journey, you're welcome. If you know how to hold a pen or how to type, there will always be a space for you.
Let's write together!
April Book Club: H & the Sea of Stories by Salman Rushdie
We'll come together at a cosy cafe to discuss S. Rushie's novel Haroun and the Sea of Stories. Before RSVPing yes, ask yourself-
Do I have a copy of the book?
Can I be there at that place and time?
Looking forward to our discussion! :)
Also if you would like to join our Whatsapp group to vote on books, please talk to Sneha at the meeting. :)
SU&W Sunday, in-person at Schöneberg
Hello fellow writers,
This is our Sunday meet-up at café Peppe.
Come along, grab a coffee, shut up, and write!
There will be two sessions of writing, each lasting 45 minutes, and two breaks.
\- The first writing session will start at 10:45 am\.
\- Second session will start at 11:45 am\.
PS: We have limited space of 18 peoples. Please sign up accordingly.
See you all on Sunday.
SU&W In-person Mitte
Come along, grab a coffee, shut up, and write! We will do at least two sessions of each 45 minutes of writing and two breaks. We will start the first writing session at 11:15.
**For space reasons, we are limited to a certain number of attendees, so please update your RSVP if you can't come**. We often have a large waiting list, and not updating your RSVP or not showing up if you do RSVP yes means that others miss out. We also ask that if you do change your RSVP, do it with reasonable notice. Thanks! We typically take over all of the cafe, but try to share tables if you can to allow space for other customers.
If you are new, come and say hello, as we know that suddenly going quiet for 45 minutes and staring at that blank page can be intimidating when it's your first time. We have a lot of long-term regulars who will be happy to help you feel welcome.
In between sessions, we have a Telegram chat: https://t.me/joinchat/ERW3pxD5kfELGeWs9SUhjw

Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington.
The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo.
Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine.
We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you.
The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly.
Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome.
The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit.
Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times.
Feel free to message me privately wth any questions and/ or concerns you may have.
Happy writing!
April Book Club Meetup
Welcome, readers!
Our April read is **_Martyr!_ by Kaveh Akbar.**
The story follows a young Iranian American poet grappling with grief, addiction, and the aching question of what makes a life meaningful. Drawn into an unexpected friendship with a terminally ill artist, he begins to confront faith, love, and the seduction of self-destruction. Lyrical, darkly funny, and emotionally piercing, the novel wrestles with beauty and despair in equal measure. It’s a story about longing—to be seen, to be forgiven, and to matter.
Looking forward to discussing with everyone!
We will meet at Zaftig Brewing Co in their event room in the back. We are welcome to bring in our own food, but **drinks must be purchased at the bar.**
Happy reading! 📖
