I’d love to invite you to a special outdoor session by the sea where we’ll practice Qigong with a bamboo stick together. This is a practice I truly love, and I’m excited to share it with others as a simple, enjoyable way to relax, connect with nature, and enjoy a deep, refreshing stretch. Imagine starting your day with the sound of the waves, gentle movement, and calm breathing… leaving you feeling lighter, more energized, and centered. ✨ During this session, we will: • Move through slow, flowing Qigong sequences • Use the bamboo stick to support posture, mobility, and alignment • Release tension and improve flexibility • Take time to breathe, unwind, and reconnect This event is beginner-friendly, no experience needed, just come as you are. Before you attend your first class, you MUST fill out this par-q https://forms.gle/1zN6VvvzfVBiAekx6 We will use resistance bands in these classes. If you would like to bring your own then that is welcomed otherwise the coach will have sufficient quantity for each participant. • What is it? - This class is designed to strengthen and condition the whole body. Aiming to prevent injury by strengthening those weak muscles and stretching those problem areas. This will be hugely beneficial to our runners all of whom who should do some strength and conditioning work at least once a week. By coming along to class you get to do this under the instruction of a experienced coach and in the company of your friends from running intervals. • Where is it? - The class takes place in Park Barceloneta where our running classes take place. Just look out for me in my blue PB:Running top. My name is Alan Urquhart and I am from Scotland. I am a Level 4 Advanced Personal Trainer and I have been in the health and fitness industry for 25 years. For 14 years I was a runner, taking part in road, hill, cross country, and track, in distances from 1 mile to marathon. ⚽️ ***FUTEVOLEI*** 🇧🇷 Es una disciplina que nació en Brasil y que hoy en día se ha expandido por todo el mundo, destacando por su dinamismo, técnica y estilo espectacular. Más allá de eso, el futevóley es creatividad, coordinación y conexión. Las clases son dinámicas, divertidas y adaptadas para que cualquier persona, incluso sin experiencia, pueda empezar desde cero. ⚽ **Técnicas fundamentales** Para jugar bien al futevóley, hay varias técnicas básicas que se deben dominar: • **Control con el pie**: Es la base del juego, permite recibir y dirigir el balón con precisión. • **Toque de pecho**: Muy importante para amortiguar balones y preparar jugadas. • **Cabeceo**: Clave tanto en defensa como en ataque, especialmente cerca de la red. • **Control con muslo**: Ayuda a mantener el balón en juego en situaciones difíciles. • **Remate** (ataque): Movimientos acrobáticos como la chilena o la bicicleta son característicos del deporte. • **Colocación**: El segundo toque que prepara el ataque, requiere precisión y visión de juego. ⸻ 🏖️ **Clases para principiantes** En el nivel principiante, el enfoque está en: • Aprender el control básico del balón • Mejorar la coordinación y equilibrio • Entender las reglas del juego • Disfrutar del proceso sin presión 🔥 **Nivel intermedio** En este nivel, los jugadores ya tienen una base y empiezan a: • Mejorar la precisión en los toques • Trabajar la comunicación en equipo • Introducir tácticas básicas de juego • Desarrollar mejores colocaciones y ataques Aquí ya se empieza a jugar con más ritmo y estrategia🔥 💪 **Nivel avanzado** Para los jugadores avanzados, el entrenamiento es más exigente: •. Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in! We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop. Pace of around 3.5 mph but no one left behind. If there is an interest we can grab lunch nearby afterward.
