FLINTA* Track Session
We are starting a series of track sessions with Ruth and Victoria as a part of training for the upcoming Oberelbe race in Dresden.
Starting from March, 4, we’ll gather at the Track of Volkspark Rehberge at 18:30 for a group training.

Let's run! Our run takes about 1 hour depending on the route and group. Feel free to meet us along the way, just drop something in the comments and we'll wait for you. Our pace is typically 5:30 to 6:00 min/km. Minotaurs Men's Basketball Tryouts
Join the Minotaurs Men's Basketball Team on Wednesday at 8pm at an indoor basketball court in Neukolln. We currently have two teams, one in Bezirkliga and one in FBL. We are looking for new players to add to the teams so come by to play together and meet. Please send a message to the event organizer if you are interested in coming.

**The Stammtisch will be at “FLAX”** in Prenzlauer Berg.
We don't have an agenda for this event. Instead, it's just an opportunity to meet other members in a nice social atmosphere, and to take a mid-week break. We try to watch out for new people, but if no one greets you, please just ask someone. We're quite a large group, so usually make up most of the people at the Bar. Don't be shy, we're a friendly group!

Once we reach Götz, we start our Hike, following this path:

Along our route there is a splendid panoramic tower 🗼 (see image attached).

Route distance: 15 kms
Pace: about 14 minutes per km (know by experience with my events)
Breaks: 2 (about 1/3 and 2/3 of the way through)
The Hike will end reaching the station of Groß Kreuz 🙂
In Groß Kreuz one train per hour is available to come back to Berlin (minute 15 of each hour).
We can spontaneously decide to stay together longer at the end, going to some bakery close to Groß Kreuz station 🥐 ☕🥐 ☕
Of course it depends how we are synchronized with the next train.
People can decide if stay longer together or shorter, taking the first available train to come back.

✨Talk and Walk: Women Only Edition
**🫵 Du bist neu in der Stadt, steckst gerade in einer neuen Lebensphase oder hast einfach Lust, neue Frauen kennenzulernen und echte Freundschaften aufzubauen?**
Perfekt, dann lauf mit uns gemeinsam am Sonntag durch den Tiergarten. Das Treffen ist für alle, die Lust haben, mal wieder rauszukommen, sich zu bewegen und ganz unkompliziert ins Gespräch zu kommen. Die Atmosphäre ist locker, die Gruppe bewusst klein gehalten und viele kommen allein.
Es geht nicht um Tempo oder Leistung, sondern einfach darum, gemeinsam eine Runde zu drehen, sich auszutauschen und eine schöne Zeit draußen zu verbringen.
Nach dem Spaziergang besteht die Möglichkeit, noch gemeinsam in ein Café zu gehen und den Tag bei Kaffee und Kuchen ausklingen zu lassen — natürlich ganz entspannt und optional.

**Alle kommen alleine.** Du musst also keinerlei Scheu haben, allein zu erscheinen. Genau dafür ist dieses Format da: damit aus fremden Frauen ganz unkompliziert neue Bekanntschaften und vielleicht sogar echte Freundschaften entstehen können.
Ich organisiere die Treffen persönlich und achte darauf, dass eine angenehme, offene und wertschätzende Atmosphäre entsteht, in der man sich leicht wohlfühlen kann.

When I first started strength training, I was intimidated, confused, and nowhere near consistent. I kept thinking it would be easier if I just had other women around me going through the same thing. So I'm starting exactly that — for women who are beginner - intermediate lifters and want to keep going.
I am hosting the first Walk & Lift: Grab a coffee, take a walk, then hit the gym together with other women.

**What this is**
We meet in front of a cafe, walk for about 40 minutes, and end at a gym nearby. Want to train after? Great, work on your own program or buddy up with someone. Prefer to just do the walk and grab a coffee? Also great. What's important is that you are surrounded by other women who are interested in getting stronger!

Dieser Schreib-Workshop bietet Frauen einen kreativen Rahmen, in dem wir uns in unserem verschieden und doch gemeinsam Sein zelebrieren und dabei gegenseitig ermutigen, im Handeln unser Potential zu entfalten.

Ich bin: Joana (sie/ihr). Musikerin. Kulturwissenschaftlerin, mit literaturwissenschaftlichem Schwerpunkt. Seit Februar 2024 in Ausbildung als Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapie. Durch diverse positive Erfahrungen als Teilnehmerin von (Schreib)kreisen für Frauen sowie mit großem Interesse besuchten Seminaren und Workshops offline und online, ist nun der Herzenswunsch entstanden, selbst auf lokaler Ebene - und in kreativer Gestalt - einen solchen Raum zu öffnen und leiten. Die amerikanische Sprecherin und Autorin Peggy Tabor Millin bringt meine eigenen Erlebnisse und Prozesse mit folgender Betrachtung auf den Punkt: "Wir müssen uns nicht selbst analysieren oder Erinnerungen hervorkramen oder an der Selbstverbesserung arbeiten. Wir müssen nur bereit sein zu lernen, wer wir sind und was die Tiefe unserer Seele wirklich ausdrücken will und muss. Während wir unser Schreiben in einem sicheren Kreis teilen, lernen wir, diesem Prozess und damit uns selbst zu vertrauen."

Hike Blendon Woods Metro Park
Hi ladies. We will meet in front of the Nature Center and head to the two Observation decks. We will then hike Hickory Ridge, Ripple Rock, Overlook and Sugarbush trails to get approximately four miles total distance. We will walk approximately a 18 minute mile pace. Please wear appropriate hiking shoes.
Hike Chestnut Ridge
We will hike the Ridge Trail and Meadows Trail twice, for a total of 3.8 miles. There are some pretty good inclines so plan on getting a cardio workout :). This is a loop which is pretty easy to follow; thus faster walkers can take the lead and the rest (like me) will bring up the rear at a slightly slower pace. You could also just do the loop once for 1.9 miles. No one left behind.
Optional lunch to follow in Canal Winchester.
I'm working through the metro parks - this is the third one!
Hike Blacklick Woods and The Canopy. Optional lunch after.
**Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in!**
**We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop. Pace of around 3.5 mph but no one left behind.**

Hike Pickerington Ponds
We'll hike 3.4 miles on the Killdeer and Yellowlegs Trails - both out and back gravel trails. If we want more mileage we can repeat an out and back. Pace of around 3.5 mph, no one left behind and those who want to go faster sure can!
As always optional lunch after.
This is the second Metro Park in the lineup for me - with 21 to go (plus more are being added).
Hike High Banks
Hike approx 4.0 miles at approx. 18 minute mile pace. Meet in front of the Nature Center.
