Data is the Rocket Fuel: The Hidden Prerequisite for AI Success
Thrive Workplace Centennial, 9200 East Mineral Avenue, Centennial, CO, USFood and drink from 6-6:30. Come early!
Agile Denver's Human-Centered AI group presents "Data is the Rocket Fuel"
Kamal Maheshwari reveals why trusted data—not just advanced algorithms—determines AI success. Drawing from real-world cases in finance, healthcare, and hospitality, he shows how organizations that validate and govern their data achieve higher ROI, ethical integrity, and faster innovation. Attendees will leave with a practical framework for building data trust through quality checks, transparency, and continuous monitoring—turning uncertain data into confident, actionable intelligence.
NOTE: This will be an in-person event.

Speaker bio:
Kamal Maheshwari is a seasoned builder at the intersection of data, trust and transformation. After earning his M.S. in Computer Science from Penn State University, he spent nearly three decades navigating the data-landscape—from product engineering at enterprise stalwarts to leadership in emerging data infrastructure firms.Located in Boulder, CO, Kamal co-founded Decube with a clear philosophy: that reliable, discoverable, and governable data is the lifeblood of modern organizations. He believes that data doesn’t merely inform decisions—it empowers human potential. The right data, aligned to purpose and treated with respect, becomes a force-multiplier. He often says: “Data is the rocket-fuel for the AI rocket—keep it clean and energized.”

About the Human-Centered AI group:
Navigate AI's Impact — Without the Hype
For busy software and product leaders, staying ahead of AI means more than chasing tools. Our monthly AI Special Interest Group cuts through the noise to explore what actually matters: how AI is reshaping collaboration, product strategy, leadership, and organizational change. This isn't a technical meetup. We skip the algorithms and implementation details to focus on the human systems that determine whether AI adoption succeeds or fails — collaborative learning, strategic thinking, ethical design, cross-functional alignment, and adaptive leadership.
What to expect: Each session features an expert speaker, small-group discussions, and practical takeaways you can use immediately.
Connect with experienced peers who share your challenges. Leave with new ways to think, not just tools to buy. Build the confidence to lead responsibly through uncertainty.

Agile and Lean Leaders, Agile Denver
Cherry Creek, 50 S Steele St, Denver, CO, USAgile & Lean Leaders:
We are a peer community of senior technology leaders—spanning product, operations, agile coaching, and engineering leadership—who seek to learn, grow, and exchange ideas beyond our day-to-day environments. Our members are Directors to C-level, all leading technology and software teams in complex, fast-moving organizations who value people over things.
As Agile & Lean Leaders, we embrace both meanings of the term:- Leaders who apply Agile and Lean principles to guide teams and organizations through change with adaptability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Leaders who shape the future of Agile & Lean leadership itself—mentors, thought leaders, and contributors to the evolving body of knowledge.
Our purpose is to:
- Connect with other senior technology leaders who navigate similar strategic and executive challenges.
- Learn from diverse perspectives—drawing on Agile, Lean, and other leadership models to tackle the real-world problems we face.
- Advance leadership thinking by developing, sharing, and potentially publishing new insights and strategies.
- Support each other as mindful, intentional professionals, leading with knowledge, calm, and clarity in high-stakes environments.
- Explore Lean principles alongside Agile to drive efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve flow in technology-driven organizations.
By engaging with this group, we strengthen our ability to lead transformational change, influence at the executive level, and shape the future of Agile and Lean leadership in technology.
We meet in person on a monthly basis near the Cherry Creek area, skipping December. Members are asked to commit to attending a minimum of four events per year.
