Fedora for ARM and Crypto in the Linux Kernel
Details
Dear Friends of Embedded Engineering,
This is very short notice but we shall have another meeting this coming Tuesday, 12th of November 2024. We have to interesting topics lined up for you: Running Fedora on ARM embedded devices and developing Crypto Drivers for the Linux Kernel. We are meeting at the usual place at HackerGarage from 7pm to 10pm:
HackerGarage
Calle Marsella 155-Int 105 A
Colonia Americana, Lafayette
44160 Guadalajara, Jalisco
Talk 1 by Hazzim Anaya (45 mins + Q&A)
Title: Fedora for ARM architecture
Abstract: This talk is about Fedora commitment to architectures that are growing exponentially, and the implementation and support of new kernel features beyond the x86 world.
Talk 2 by Josue Hernandez (45 mins + Q&A)
Title: Cryptography in the Linux Kernel
Abstract: This talk explores the Linux kernel's cryptographic subsystem, including cipher algorithms, modes of operation, and key management. We'll discuss the kernel's cryptographic API and its role in securing sensitive data. To bridge theory and practice, we'll demonstrate a Linux kernel driver implementing the Caesar cipher.
Looking forward to seeing you all there,
Hazzim, Josue, and Frank
