De qué se trata
Welcome! We are a group that hosts online meetings for anyone who wants to work, write, create, edit, journal--whatever you want to do, we want to help you do it. All types of writing, work, and creativity are accepted.
Our members come from around the world, and include novelists, teachers, freelancers, artists, students, editors--as well as people who are just starting a new creative journey.
We encourage everyone to get to know each other, connect, network, offer support and resources, and create new friendships.
Most sessions have optional check-ins at the beginning and at regular intervals, and end with a checkout. These are for support, accountability, and whatever else might help keep us moving along productively. Overall session lengths can vary, but will be at least two hours long.
We aim to be an inclusive group including people from all around the world, and we hope to encourage everyone to be their happiest, most productive, and most creative selves!

Welcome to our daily, 4-hour writing session! Everyone is welcome (even if you're not working on your writing). You can stay for the full time, take a break midway, drop in for your lunch/dinner break--whatever you need to make progress towards your goals.
Our full list o' back-to-back writing marathons, social hours, write-ins, and book club can be found on the OCC event page.
The session starts with short introductions where people share what they're working on, and there is an optional check-in in the middle. At the end, we share our progress (or procrastination problems...) in order to celebrate, commiserate, and support each other.
Schedule (CST):
3:45pm – check-in and introductions
6:00 pm – optional halftime check-in
8pm – check-outs (or check-up if you continue into the next session!)There are no critiques, read-alouds, or distractions: just time for focus. If there are other elements of this structure that don't work for you, just use the parts that are helpful.
Happy writing!
