Welcome to Escape
We have been an established meetup group in Leeds for over a decade. During our ''hey day'' we where the busiest group and despite other groups have bigger attendance numbers we still have the most members on our group.
Now we are lucky to be a group alongside other established groups in Leeds. I have been a leader in Escape since the beginning and I now have taken over as Organiser. I want to bring the group back to what it was and I hope you come along on this journey.
What we can give you
All welcome
No extremely large events. We believe the group is about making friends. Not so easy with 100 people in a room
The option to put on your own events
What we ask of you
To be part of socializing-we are all responsible for speaking to and welcoming each other
To contribute to the group by attending events and or leading/suggesting events
Escape has been free all this time but as costs grow for all of us, this is not looking likely to be a viable option. However, in the name of fairness-
There is currently an opportunity to attend an event in August where it will mean you have a free place in Escape for the year. I will also put another meetup on in September for a second chance for people to attend to get free place in Escape.
From both these events, I can assess from this if there are enough people to make the group viable under my sole payment. If not-I will in November be announcing fair payment options .
