Details

Walk length 3miles/5km approx. Circular.

A walk exploring the history of Spitalfields and Whitechapel and the story behind a very gruesome Victorian serial killer....

Although the Spitalfields and Whitechapel areas of London have changed dramatically since Victorian times, there is still an atmosphere to this fascinating part of the London East End. The walk passes old narrow alleys, thriving markets and old soup kitchens to Hawksmoors impressive Christ Church Spitalfields.

We will stop for refreshments at the end of the walk close to Liverpool Street.

Cost: £4 payable on the day (guided walk & meetup costs, the host is a qualified London guide).

Meeting

Meet outside Liverpool Street Station along Bishopsgate next to the main station and underground sign (see photo above) from 3.45pm for the walk to start at 4pm, the walk finishes back close to Liverpool Street Station. See Transport for London (http://www.tfl.gov.uk/)
