Gunpowder Night & The Mayflower – Walk & Drinks
Details
Walk length 3miles/5km approx. Linear.
A chance for a short walk to celebrate two significant days...
The Gunpowder Plot was an attempt to assassinate King James I during the Opening of Parliament in November 1605, it is celebrated today by bonfire night and we may see some fireworks from public or private displays.
The 5th November last year was election day in the USA!
Last year we got some great sights of various pubic and private firework displays across the night sky!
We can visit the historic Mayflower pub, named after the Pilgrim fathers that left Rotherhithe for America in 1620 for a quick drink. Afterwards we can get food & drink at a very classy pub close to Surrey Quays and Canada Water.
This is a FREE walk.
