Burundi is a small African gem boasting soaring mountains and tranquil lakeside communities. Despite its tragic past marked by ethnic conflict, it offers a rich cultural heritage and stunning natural beauty.

Our journey begins in Bujumbura, where we'll explore Rusizi National Park with its hippos and bird species and visit the Independence Hero Monument and the historic Stanley and Livingstone landmarks.

In Gitega, we'll marvel at the Source of the Nile, hike to the Karera Waterfalls, and experience the vibrant rhythms at the Gishora Drum Sanctuary.

Finally, we'll visit the serene Teza Tea Plantations, taking in the magnificent views of the green countryside before conculding our weekend getaway to the heart of Africa!
