What we’re about
A warm welcome to all embedded systems engineers and hobbyists in Guadalajara and beyond. The aim of this group is to share knowledge, expertise and projects on HW/SW engineering of embedded systems and IoT. For this, we strive to meet once every month to host presentations and occasional workshops, and have a friendly chat amongst ourselves. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) microcontrollers, single-board computers, System on Chip, FPGA, Hardware Description Languages, Hardware Security, Programming, Reverse Engineering, Device Hacking, Embedded Linux, RTOS, RISC-V, ISP, NPU, Retro-computing, analog electronics, PCB design, and much more.
We welcome all ages and skill levels, and aim to cater for both newbies and seasoned professionals. We are not biased to a particular technology, manufacturer, chip, or COTS board but like to keep a wide scope and open mind, comparing devices and new technologies in our talks as they emerge. We operate on a non-profitable basis, so any charge for workshops and/or meetups is solely to cover venue costs, catering, etc.
This group has been running for about a year now with approximately 10 ESG meetup events organized. We have chosen HackerGarage (https://hackergarage.mx/) as our primary venue for events, since we appreciated the work they are doing for the Maker Community in GDL. We welcome sponsors and like to give them a platform to advertise their companies, vacancies, and contribute with subject-specific talks. Many of our talks are recorded and accessible from this YouTube channel (look for ESG):

Please feel free to contact the group admin (Frank Zeyda) via meetup if you like to be involved as an event sponsor or giving a talk on your favorite topic - preferably in English. Please also spread the word and let others know about the group and its activities.
Gracias and please come along with us on our journey! — Frank
