Calgary English as a Second Language Organiser's Birthday Meetup

My birthday, is on Saturday, May 3rd, and this year, it DOES fall on the day of my celebration.

I would feel odd gathering a bunch of people together and then demanding presents, so let me say this: I won't expect presents, but if attendance is high at this event, I will be happy, so your PRESENCE will be my present.

In the past, some people have broken the "no presents" rule. What happens if some of us break the no-presents rule is that other people say, "hey, I thought you said no presents", so I really do mean it. However, if you feel that you must break the no-presents rule, allow me to suggest that you buy me a beverage, or a pair of unusual socks, for example, bright pink or purple, or lime green, or bright yellow with blue polka dots, or Sponge Bob, or Powerpuff Girl socks.

Until approximately 10:30pm, I will be at the karaoke bar at 512 6th St SW called Nanta Karaoke and Bar.

Nanta Karaoke and Bar is on 6th Street West about a block and a half North of the 6th Street LRT station, on the East side, above Chinese Village restaurant. There is nothing to see on the ground floor except a door to the left of Chinese Village, so if you didn't know it was there, you might walk right by it. They have added some neon signs with "Nanta" in Korean and Japanese on the SECOND floor windows, but you have to look up.

There is $2 municipal parking on 5th av and 9th av. That's $2 total for the whole evening after 6:00pm.
