Details
About This Class:
It's Christmas-time in New York and it is an exciting time to be in the city.
But with the holiday season are some peculiar new words and new topics of conversation that can be confusing for English language learners.
Learn and use 15 seasonal vocabulary words about Christmas from some basics to advanced words. Complete some fun exercises to help you remember these words.
And then get a quick cultural lesson about Christmas and the holidays in New York.
After the classroom session is finished, let's walk past the windows at Macy's, and then walk along Fifth Avenue from 34th St to Rockefeller Plaza (at 49th St and Fifth Ave) where we can see the 78-foot Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. This gorgeous and gigantic tree is covered in 5 miles of Christmas lights. Along Fifth Avenue there will be many other Christmas decorations and lights to see and take pictures of.
