Melanoma in Australia is the highest in the world due to the high UV light radiation, making it the third most common cancer overall and the most common for young adults (20-39 years).

It has been noted that sunscreens have toxic chemicals added, so the need for a non-toxic sunscreen is very important in our climate. Harvesting olives which must tolerate our harsh conditions means olive trees produce polyphenols to protect the fruit, especially in the early stages, hence the benefits of extra virgin olive oil produced from olives in the early stages of fruiting.
